oh but you must....i insist.... he has a valid point...he's using a stereotype that i too believe in... only "nerds" would look this deep into a video game console...most people dont know the difference between a first and third party developer is.... people thought mario would be cooler on xbox cuz it would have better graphics....

so defend yourself.... i think it was you taht said you wished you could play the star wars game on the Wii so you could pretend to be luke skywalker... either you or puff.... either way, he's a cards fan, and you'd be pretty damn weird....

If you're defination of a nerd is someone who's into electoronics, or whatever, that's just stupid. I might as well be a sports nerd or a fantasy football nerd.

"Look deep into a console?" I'm interested in a form of entertainment, and so are alot of other people. If I'm going to shell out some buck for it, I'd like to know I'll be able to have one and it won't burn out on me as soon as I put a game in. Call me crazy, I don't like to waste $600 on something I'm not 100% about.

And no it wasn't me who made the Luke Skywalker comment, it was Puff.

no, no, it isnt.... yes there are sports nerds...what i meant was video game nerds....there...clarified that

i think if you look that deep into a console, you're prolly considered a "serious gamer" meaning you play more than just the pick up and play games....most people are not like that...they just buy a system for graphics and the sports and racing and maybe shooting games....

halo sold the xbox...not any other intellectual game that was on the box...whatever game that may have been

PS3 Box Art

First PS3 Box Art Revealed
The official box from Untold Legends hits our servers.
by Jeff Haynes
September 8, 2006 - Until now, the box art design for future PS3 games has remained as secretive as the system itself. We managed to catch our first glimpse at the new format for PlayStation 3 games, thanks to Sony Online Entertainment's upcoming title, Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom.

As Sony fans will notice, there are subtle changes to the box art style. First of all, the PlayStation logo, which has been displayed against a black background during the PSX and PS2 era, will now be embossed on a white background on the left hand side of the box. This also marks a return to the left aligned text announcing the system, which was abandoned from the PSX era for the top aligned PlayStation 2 text for current generation games. Also, dimensions exactly match that of the art used in a Blu-ray case (which has a large blue header on top), hinting towards want kind of physical box it will incorporate. IGN has mocked up how we think the final box will look in a BluRay box, which is linked below.

What also stands out are the placement of logos and banners. The Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom logo is featured prominently at the top of the image itself, but isn't particularly overwhelming to the graphic of the scout character, who's wielding her swords towards the holder of the box. The ESRB logo and the SOE company logos are placed in the bottom left and right hand corners of the box, respectively, but also appear to frame the character, which directs the holder's attention to the art itself. Whether this design choice will place much more emphasis on cover art for the next generation is unknown at this point, but it appears that attention paid to cover art will go hand in hand with that for high definition graphics.
