Well I guess it would help but we should find a better solution then reinstallin. You only see a VGA adapter and no real graphic card, that's why you have this problem......hm, try 2 remove the VGA adapter, delete it, and restart your PC. Try that.

i gotcha man,download this and install it,reboot computer and your graphics card will be back up and running.you can do this in windows XP and in windows 2000,it will work for both.

Thanks. I'll give that a try. but i decided to install a new start xp SP3 and see how that goes. Will let you guys no if does get fixed and dont forget i rep those who helped me.
