It's official: Terrell Owens sent home for season

Atlanta wouldn't work for him, they are known as predominantly a running team, so he wouldn't see the ball enough to satisfy him. Besides, Michael Vick's talents would probably overshadow his, and we all know he wants to be seen as the best player on whatever team he goes to. I admit it would be fun to watch them together though, I just don't think it would last. I could see him going to the Seahawks, Broncos or Jets, with the Jets being the most likely team. But I can guarantee you that wherever he goes he won't get a long term deal for big money. They should do what Lincoln Kennedy suggested in the article I posted, sign him at the minimum salary, but load the contract with performance and behavior incentives. That would certainly help.

Just as a side note to all this, the NFL Players Association is requesting that Owens either be reinstated or released at the end of his 4 game suspension, which the NFLPA is already challenging on November 19. It would be interesting to see who would pick him up, if anyone does, if he becomes a free agent after the suspension.

I know what your saying but I see things a lot different. I can really care less about what he says and i take what he does as what it is, entertainment. He plays football and that is what I watch. I can care less about him arguing with players whatever. It's petty shit and he is bigger than the team. The only Eagles news you hear is about T.O. Not about their failure of a season so far. If he wasn't bigger than the team than why has this affected them so much. It's obvious the team is distraught, the play shows this. It is best for the team that T.O is gone but they are gonna be missing a lot with him gone, the guy is a player. I don't even see why people be hating on him so much, he opened his mouth, and instead of being men, the Eagles, T.O, McNabb became little kids about this shit. It's funny, one man destroyed a season, thats if they dont somehow do a complete turn around and start performing in the first half and start winning, which by the looks of are unlikely. They gave him warnings and warnings, be a man and talk to your player instead of warning him through the media. Sit down, more than twice after the situation got out of hand, go to dinner or something and talk about things. Have the relationship that a player and coach are supposed to have not this bickering shit. Drew Rosenhaus doesn't help the situation out either, that guy, blah. But whatever, T.O and the Eagles will move on, stop hating on a good player, fuck his off the field shit, watch football for the entertainment that it is and have fun, peace.

Peyton Manning wouldn't take him. He wouldn't put up with his bullshit. Plus, it doesn't matter who Peyton's receivers are. He can make anyone look good.

Why fuck with an undefeated team?

I think the problem here is that you and I see sports in a totally different way. I'm not much older than you, but I'm basically from a different generation. When I remember watching sports when I was younger, there wasn't all this bullshit that we have going on now. You never heard about contract disputes or in team bickering or players acting like spoiled brats. I'm sure it went on, but the players didn't talk about it, and neither did the coaches or the team. It was dealt with in house. Nowadays, it's more about that stuff than it actually is about sports. It seems that athletes in general have a whole lot to cry about, and they have forgotten that they are being paid more than the President to play a game that they love. They take all this shit for granted, like no matter what they do the team will take them back because they're just that good. I take a lot of shots at Owens, but athletes in general have become so spoiled that they figure that they can do or say whatever they want and get away with it. Maybe this will show them that there are going to be consequences for their actions. I suppose none of this even matters though, I'm guessing that the NFLPA will force the Eagles to release him after his suspension and he'll end up somewhere else this season.

No, he didn't help out at all, actually he hurt Owens more than T.O. could ever hurt himself. Check out this article: http://nfl.com/news/story/9034032
