Is Wrestling really a sport?

I already elaborated that the wrestlers themselves are not to blame for it. And I agree that there is competition in trying to put on the best show, but that's like second-line competition. Like tennis players vying for #1 spot or footy teams aiming for a certain league position. But the direct competition, on the field, pitch, ring, that's what matters. And that's what is absent in wrestling.
But if the fans don't know the outcome, wouldn't it be the exact same thing as any other sport? You are watching two entities competing and you do not know who will win. You sit and cheer for your favorites, and you boo the opposing.

I'm fan of the sport first, of a team second. I'd feel weird cheering for a team when it's already determined whether they win or lose.

When I am glued to the television watching football, I watch it with the knowledge those guys on the pitch give it their all to win tonight. With wrestling, they can give it their all to put up a good show, and kudos for that. But they're not doing all they can to win the battle. Because it wouldn't matter if they tried.
