Impeach Bush?

#21
For real, I think governments should hold votes when making decision such as going to war. War effects everyone in the nation. That should be a decision made by the people. The people will also make wrong decisions at times, but for democracy to work a bit better, th people need to be a bit more involved than just the initial vote, and then let selected few take care of the rest. But again all this is just opinions.

How can you put Bush on trial for the actions taken in Iraq? Why not the Members of Congress who voted to support the invasion?
You don't because they were mostly duped into thinkin there were weapons of mass destruction there, they voted for the war on false pretenses. We all did. There was no hard evidence at all supportin these claims, yet Bush still pushed for the war so he could try and finish what his daddy couldn't.

It's a general consensus these days that Bush intends good in his own mind, but doesn't realize that he's making wrong choices. With that said, you need to learn your facts because you're getting really annoying at this point. It was bad intelligence passed down to first the President, then Congress. It has been well-documented now and everyone agrees on that point on both sides of the aisle. So just stop it.

No democracy will ever go with that philosophy. What you're describing right there is what's called a direct democracy. A representative democracy is what we know a democracy to be today.

In essence, the democracy you're speaking of is impossible. Here's an example for you:
Politics in America said:
More than 300 million Americans are spread over 4 million square miles. If we brought everyone together, standing shoulder to shoulder, they would occupy 70 sq. miles. One round of 5-minute speeches by everyone would take 3,000 years. People could be born, grow old, and die while they waited for the assembly to make one decision.
Representative democracy recognizes that it is impossible for everyone to decide on issues. That's why we have representatives voted by the people to vote on behalf of the people. What you are implying, would actual kill democracy instead of help it.

i do remember the republicans trying to impeach clinton when he had less than 2 years left to his term.
however, they were morons as well for doing it.
The scandal broke in mid-1997 and it was shortly after that they started gathering information for an impeachment. You're right in the sense that the impeachment process itself started in 1998, but they had been collecting 'evidence' a year prior to that.

But yes, the republicans were morons for that and that's for a totally different discussion.

Bring in the internet entertainment into it, that's real mature.

I'm not stating what's on my mind, I'm telling you what's real and that what you're saying is imaginery and bull. I don't even like President Bush. I am simply tired of people like you that have biased views on politics.

You're tellin me about being mature, please...... don't tell me whats biased and whats not, i'm not a die hard democrat, John Kerry i highly doubt would've been much better of a choice.. it doesn't make me biased to think George Bush is incompetent and cannot lead our country and that he should be held accountable for it, this war is worthless, shit has changed in 5 years, he needs to cut his losses and gradually start pullin troops out, Iraq doesn't need 22,000 more american troops, what they need is for their own people to get involved, otherwise things will never change.
