If You Could Change One Event From One Day

Mine is kind of weird so here ya go.

My Astronomy teacher was once talking about some guy (I think it was Plato) arguing with another philosopher type guy about why a rock would fall faster to the ground than a feather. One guy said the feather has more a divine essence so that is why, it wants to go to heaven, and the rock is evil or whatever. Blah Blah all the other guy had to do was crumple up the feather and drop it and it would fall faster obviously blah blah. The point was that we would of discovered pretty much gravity almost 500 years before the guy with the apple and such. So then he said think of what we would have 500 years from now, space travel and such, we would have today if all he did was crumple the feather.
All in all I'd have the guy crumple the feather.

I don't know details about this but I'm pretty sure it happened or something, I mean after all it was in a book.:D

I disagree with that notion. There are plenty of things that did not have to happen that would not otherwise have changed the grand scheme of things, like Aaliyah's plane crash for example.
I was talking about the big events not some minor shit like the death of 2pac or whether Angelina Jolie should adopt another child ;). Sometimes people need a slap in their face to cope with "reality". That's how I see it. Do you think americas airlines would've been as cautios as they are today if an attack on WTC never happened?

If somebody goes out and kills Brett Favre tomorrow, I wouldn't suddenly have a new outlook or greater understanding of anything.
Others would, you're putting yourself in every mens situation. Not everone is like you etc.

That's ridiculous. Currency is necessary. Money is not the root of all evil.
i'm with cardella on this one. the only it's necessary is because we have adopted a social system that makes it necessary.

Yet you chose the name of a guy that had a false theory on gravity, lol.

As for the thread, I wouldn't change a thing.

i cant imagine a world with out currency. it sounds nice in theory but this is the real world.

i wouldn't like living in a society like in the movie "the village"

imagine a world with out money. how would it run? when you are born, would it be decided that you will be a home builder the rest of your life? or an artist, doctor, shoe maker?

even if we did live in a society were money did not exist, a person could still be rich or wealthy in that society. greed would still exist. that is were the evil comes form. money is not evil, its the greed in people that is evil.

well said, but i think that there would be less overall problems without the concept of currency.

Society simply grew to a point at which the barter system simply wasn't sufficient. If you honestly think that modern society would function without money then you're insane.
