Anybody here ever have the NEO GEO (TOO EXPENSIVE for me) or the Atari Jaguar? Those are probaly the only systems I never purchased, and the Nintendo Virtual Boy (stupidest idea)...

going of pure addiction i would have to say SOCOM 2, ive clocked way too many hours to be proud of. Hell one of my friends averaged 24 hours out of every week for 3 months (during the school year and varsity football season)

The greatest video game of all time was Little Big Adventure for PC. Revolutionary graphics, engaging plot, balance of strategy and action, and was one of the bench marks of taking music within a game seriously. Nothing fucks with that game, or the rest of my list :p

N64:

Goldeneye
Mario 64
Mario Kart

SNES:

All Donkey Kongs
Zelda
Super Metroid
Killer Instinct

NES:

Super Mario
Super Mario 3
Snake Rattle N Roll

Old PC:

All Commander Keens
Worms
Doom
+ Half Life

My vote's Goldeneye. I never had more fun with any other game.

Mario Kart 64 is up there too.

Gotta show love to Madden.

Who didn't love NBA Jam?

What'd ya think?

I agree with Mario Kart 64.

Golden eye was not the best for me though, I found Zelda way superior.

just about any zelda game... top of the list being ocarina of time (n64) and a link to the past (snes).
metal gear solid 1 was great on the PS.
mario 3. i dont think there is a more classic game. people for hundreds of years to come will probably play this emulated on their PCs (or equivalent media stations).
Goldeneye is also up there.

Licence to kill, pistols, complex, 4-player. No-one can be Oddjob, be Jaws at your peril.

Still play that to this day, upgraded from the 14inch to the 42inch TV though now, makes a hell of a difference!

I've played nearly every game mentioned in this thread. High up in my list would be:

Sonic 1, 2, 3 and Sonic & Knuckles
Streets Of Rage 1 2 and 3
Toejam & Earl 1 & 2
Michael Jackson's Moonwalker
Soul Calibur
Zelda - Link To The Past
All Mario games
Mario Kart (snes one)
Beavis & Butthead on the SNES
House Of The Dead 1 2 and 3

...but, there is only one game (well, 2) that sit at number 1 in my list. Anyway who has ever sat and played through both games will know what I mean. Hands down, the greatest videogame ever. It's more than a videogame, it's an experience. It's hard to express how much this game means to me, and I'm sure anyone thats played it feels the same way.

Ladies, and gentleman, without a shadow of a doubt, the greatest video game ever made, is Shenmue, and Shenmue 2.

Shenmue changed my life.

ChronoTrigger.

Has been voted as the best game ever made, and I agree. Storywise, action, rpg, gameplay, replay value. It's better than everything else.

I heard there's 21 endings, I've only discovered 3 since it came out :woah:

Good, but not the greatest. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was better IMO.
No way in hell is that better than Shenmue. There are other Zelda games better than ocarina of Time. Link To The Past was better than Ocarina of Time.
