i know i said my last post was the last in this thread, but i have to do this: you say you said Obama knew of his pastor's views but just a couple posts ago you said this:

and this is my point, he never claimed to not know his pastor's views, yet you also said this in the thread i made about his speech on race, that he said he didn't know his pastor's views. so which one is it puff?
.
these are obamas statements and quotes from him. you decide.

"Did I know him to be an occasionally fierce critic of American domestic and foreign policy? Of course. Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes"

"The statements that Rev. Wright made that are the cause of this controversy were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity or heard him utter in private conversation. When these statements first came to my attention, it was at the beginning of my presidential campaign."
Obama heard controversial comments - Politico Staff - Politico.com

now it can be argued that in the second quote that obama is talking about the statements in the video that came to light in the media at the time and in the first quote he was just saying in general that he has heard statements in the past. but he isn't really specific in the first quote.

roaches, it was more of a hypothetical example at best. there are conservative media groups that are the counter to media matters. for instance media research center.

i'm not really sure what your point is with the article beind disputed. that really doesn't say much when it comes to wikipedia considering almost every article on that site is disputed. even so i don't think one persons viewpoint should take away from the book and the examples and points made in it.

lol, well thanks to bringing the thread back to the topic at hand ruk: saying fuck Fox News! now i know we (or at least Puff lol) can't blame the network for every comment a commentator or guest of a commentator says on their shows (hence the "views expressed on this program do not represent our views, blah blah, blah" tags) but Fox seriously needs to fire some asses over there. i was eating when i watched this, and when that guy made that "maybe she's mad because her son was shot in a drive-by or something" comment i damn near choked. how can a network allow employees or even guests of employees to say shit like this? if i was the owner of the network, i would feel morally obligated to make a public apology for allowing a comment like this (and many other like minded comments made on the network over the years) to get on air.
