Michael Essien and Arjen Robben has no busuness on that list. i'd like to see Ronaldinho or Samuel Eto'o/Wayne Rooney to win.

i just noticed this, what the hell are you on about? Robben has no business? Have you even seen the way he developed this season? Not only at his club, but also in the dutch national squad. Both him and Van der Vaart made great improvements this year.

Robben deserves to be on the list. Period. :thumb:

I dont think so. Drogba deserves more then him if anything.
Drogba was a complete waste of space and money last season. This season, he and the rest of the team have worked out what he's there for and he's been better. But if we're basing it on this season's performance, where's Darren Bent?

^ lol true Darren Bent >>>Drogba

Ronildinho will win it. Robben deserves to be on the list, at times last season it was difficult to stop him.

Also Casillies >>> Buffon

Ronaldo deserves to be on the list, without him at Real Madrid who else would score goals? Raul is in his lowest form ever.

Darren who? stop with the unknown names man.
I didnt see you picking on Drogba last year.now that chelsea won you picking on him. he wasn't no waste of space. he a rare type a player. nobody likes he because hes a dirty player and cocky but he still helps your team win like him or not.

Darren Bent, current (joint) top goalscorer in the Premiership. He plays for Charlton Athletic.

He was useless (for Chelsea) last year. So far this season he's started to justify the £24m spent on him, but last season he certainly didn't. If you'd brought him up last season I would have said the same thing.

While we're on the topic, why did Jay Jay Okocha get on the list ahead of Tim Cahill, who was outstanding last season and took his team to 4th.

Okocha is on their due to reputation. Diouf was a better player last season compared to Jay Jay.

Drogba was useless the Chelsea fans have a song about how hes useless, lol just listen to Andy Gray doing commentary on Droga, he rips him apart.

I know who that is.
Me expressing like that is reflection of most of the people right now.He just came up in Charlton and nobody really knows him worldwide and you expect him to be on the list already and season just started and he hasn't played for national team yet.

I don't know whats the time frame like for this FIFA world player of the year award like from when to when but I disagree Drogba being useless last year. why even brought up last year when you talking about this year. and as you say he better this year so what you arguing about.
As far as Tim Cahill, i dont know. just by you saying he was outstanding last year should explain it all. last year.

ONly fifa could pull such a mad list. It's a slap in the face to Nesta or Maldini or any decent defender when they see Carlos on it and not themselves.

Fifa just likes to suck the dick of madrid and are too afraid to actually have an opinion so they base a list on the most recogniseable players,if even that.....

I don't think he should be on the list, just like I don't think Okocha or Drogba should be on the list. However, if Drogba can get on the list purely based on his performance this season, then Bent should be able to as well.

I believe the nominations are based on last season's performance, in which case Drogba has absolutely no place on the list.

FIFA lists sucks, theyre to political, i dont think R. Carlos deserves to be on this list more than anyother defensive players such as Maldini and others.

All lists they made are bs, they only look to some countries and teams, theres a lot of money involved.. lol

As the media behave i will say that Ronaldinho and Kaka are strong names, also Eto´o that made a solid year.

Of course, but it's an opinion shared by a lot of people, even Chelsea fans.

The guy's done well this season (scored two today), but last season he was poor.
I was just about to say that. chelsea bolton game. he basically changed the whole game momenthom. they were trailing at a half at home. second half, he scores first and then assists Lampard with second chelsea goal and then he scores hes second goal again.

Exactly, he's a new man.

He said at the end of last season that he was doing too much defensive work last season :)rolleyes:) which is why he didn't score much. He said he'd be more 'selfish', and I guess it's working for him :D

Yeah Drogba blamed tactics last season for his poor form lol..i remember this season when they analised his performance in the CL vs Liverpool and how he gave the ball away needlessy over and over again.

Droga is doing good right now, but i don't rate him and i would have other strikers in the Premiership over him.

As he should be. every striker needs to be selfish in a way. you dont want striker passing ball back nor passing around too much.
