I know nothing about police protocol but don't they usually try to shoot him in the shoulder or something, I don't know, just a 15 year old kid, I'd think I would use some hesitance to go for a kill shot and use something other than deadly force. Why not a bean bag gun or the net thing or that laser shit they point at your eyes, a taser or something. I just think his life could of been saved, if they took more time and thought out the situation. Rather than chasing him down, trapping him, and what seems like forcing an officer do exactly what the kid wanted.
That's exactly what I tried 2 say above. It's a 15 year old kid, not a killer. Throw some flash lights in there and handle that shit. If it would have done the right way, not one single shot would have been fired.

First, the law enforcement team was outside the restroom when the kid exited and pointed his gun at one of the officers. They hadn't gone in after him.

While i think it's a very sad incident that should've been avoided if possible, the kid was being a dumb fuck.

I mean, it's very, very simple really. People think you have a gun. You know it's a pellet gun, they don't.

What do you think the SWAT team is going to do when you point a gun at them? Take it from you?

No, you're gonna get your ass shot.

Now, if the kid DIDN'T brandish his gun and he got shot and killed, yes, i'd be all over it claiming police violence and brutality and all kinds of terribleness.

But he pointed it at cops. Even a retard can conclude that will get you shot.

^The Father and Brother told the police the gun was fake though. Was it not told to others or something, I mean what is going on.

They would still need to be on high alert, just because 2 people (who aren't even with the kid at the time) say that its a fake gun, what if it was a real one that the kid got from somewhere else? There would be a cop dead if they let their guard down

^Exactly. All the father could tell the police was that the boy owned an airsoft repligun, not that that was what was in his hands at that time.

Father: "So, officer, go ahead and risk your life and anyone else's because I'm pretty sure he's got a fake gun. By the way, I'm the asshole who raised him, so I'm sure my opinions are worth a whole lot to you here today."

Wow. I never said what the cops did was wrong. I said I wish it would of came out different. Since they knew he ahd a fake gun, or was told by a source directly related to the kid maybe they could of tried some non lethal force, that is all. No one is trying to knock the cops or anything, I just wish shit went down differently.
