Milito is class.
It was awful to watch. Bayern had most of the ball but just didnt have the quality apart from the likes of Robben and Lahm. Inter just defended and took them on the break because Bayern's defence is weak.
Mourinho may have won again and may be off to Real Madrid but i can guarantee you that the Real Madrid supporters wont tolerate much of this type of football.

Well, I probably wouldn't, looking at the last 3 matches in particular (the final and the two semi's against Barca). I would probably call them krautfucking nazi's anyway, but I would never call it horrible or anti-football. If you look at the 3 matches, these are the facts as I see them.
First leg in Milan, Inter was simply much better. More agressive, worked harder, had more tempo in their play and as always disciplined and organised. They won 3 to 1, fair and square.
Second leg, red card after 30 minutes. Now let's be honest here, this was the situation Inter found themselves in:

Against what maybe is the strongest offensive team in the world.
And your real strength is defense and midfield defense.
Now what the fuck are you gonna do? Be romantic and "play forward from the midfield with quick combined passing, movement and always an upcoming central defender" or some Cruijffian phrase like that?
Be real. What could Inter do? Mourinho and the team knew full well Barca would rape them into crying bits of cookie dough if they were given space! So they threw up a wall. And let's be honest, it wasn't a Maltese or Liechtensteiner wall, where 9 field players (except some poor lonely striker) throw themselves in front of their own goal as if it was a failed acrobatics act.
But they kept what many argue is the best offensive team on earth at bay for 180 minutes, scoring 3 goals to their 2.
Now we can all sit round the campfire with our marshmellows and call Inter (or the Germans, for the sake of your example) a bunch of cowards and anti-footballers, but fact remains they put up one helluva performance. And if Barca is so-so good...then why were they raped in Milan and failed to capitalize on their one man advantage at home for a full fucking hour?
And then in the final they met a team with a great offense and poor defense, coached by Van Gaal. What does that tell you? Those Bayern guys are going all-out (and rightfully so, that's not the point). Inter tested the waters, retreated a bit, let them come, conquered the ball and blitzed forward. It's maybe not the absolute samba footy we all would like to fap to, but it's that you have to able to do it. It's not easy. It deserves respect.
Frankly, how many chances did Bayern get tonight? Zero. Inter gave nothing away. Their defending wasn't panicky or haphazardly running circles around the penalty dot screaming for their pagan gods for courage (visions of Malta arise here). They were a 100% focused, disciplined and organised. Romans! I counted exactly one poor "out-defending" pass by Lucio, which he immediately corrected himself. Oh yeah, and Chivu with his butcher's attack. That was it. Over 90 minutes of play and a good 50 minutes of pressure. Emulate that.
How many chances did Bayern create tonight? They were poor, yes (Seb said so himself, I do hope he won't take a hiatus from the board, but at least he can lose with honour) but Inter intercepted so much. There were maybe two halfsy chances in the first half. Muller missed a good chance but the ball wasn't as easy as it seemed. He had to take it with his right on a very tight angle and with the defender right to his left, so there was no time or movement space at all. Coupled to that Cesar was positioned very well but the ball went wide anyway. At first it seemed a poor effort by Muller but I saw a good overhead replay of the chance on telly and it was definitely not a sitter.
A great opportunity right at the start of the second half. A very fluid attack, but someone screwed it up and Cesar was quick to collect. Then Robben (who was not very good, tried too much by himself, like Thuggy already said) did have a fantastic effort trying to curl it into the far corner but Cesar parried it equally sublime. Bayern had a few free kick attempts and did exactly 0,0 with them.
On those times Inter did blitz forward, it was at lightning pace. On a few occasions, their passing accuracy and tempo of play was no worse than the best Barca has to offer at any given day. That one opportunity Sneijder ruined by flotsing the ball right up to Butt, that was a magnificent attack. Fast, dead accurate, people going forward and positioning well, it was a joy to watch that electric switch from steady defense to a bullrush forward. Inter's effectiveness at creating and finishing chances was much better than Bayern today. Sneijdertje did have a very poor free kick try, however. Worthless. Even I would've done better. But apart from that, superb defense and counter play by the book. No luck, no bullshit, just skill.

I think i read that Bayern had 70% possession. they had one player capable of doing anything though. that was Robben. Inter were much more clinical.
but Real Madrid will not like this. and they are total assholes for sacking Pellegrini. i hope it all goes bad for them and Mourinho.
Rafa Benitez mus not be the clown of a manager the english press would have you believe he is, if he was able to get the better of Mourinho twice in the champions league.
