The only way Ortiz will not win the MVP and i've said this before is if Red Sox won't make the playoffs.Which is the likelihood so far with less then 20 games remaining and they are out of race from Yankees and wild card also. But even then it won't be as easy to count Ortiz out of the MVP race.Because A-Rod has won with the loosing team, the last place Rangers and we know Red Sox even though are loosers this year, they are not Rangers.
the red sox are NOT making the playoffs, thats fact
with that said, Ortiz will not win MVP. Jeter, Dye, Mornaeu and Santana have a much better chance and arguement, and personally I think Travis Hafner should deserve an honorable mention.

well, i think the cy young is enough for a pitcher... i think a hitter has a better chance of winning it than does a pitcher...i think history has shown that...
and there never was anything wrong with a-rod...it was just a big slump.... what happened to beltran in 04?? why did he emerge in the playoffs and not during the reg. season after his trade to houston?
He seems to be a bit sore about not making the playoffs and getting routed by the yankee's at home.Wich pretty much spelled the end to Bostons hope of making the playoffs. He sounds absolutly ridiculous.
