Well, have you upgraded your Java installation? I know that Apple updated their Java implementation within the past few months. If you have not applied the update, you should. It's available through software update under the apple menu.

I have Java 1.4.1 installed and according to the software updater, that's the latest version
I'm running on 10.2.8 btw
Well, I checked out the JHymm website and they mention your Java based error, but for Windows. My assumption would be that it is a problem with Apples' implementation of Java in 10.2.x. I know that I do not receive any errors running 10.3.8. Sorry, I can't really help you more. The only other thing I can suggest is to repair your permissions and run disk first aid on your system disk. In 10.2.x this requires you to boot from you installation disk. By the way, you really should upgrade your OS, 10.3 provided large speed increases over 10.2.x along with many new features. Also, 10.4 is due out in 2 weeks time.
