you mean the same Soriano who hit .133 in 30 at-bats in the 2003 ALCS?

and .227 in the world series against the marlins that same year?
i already said forget about 2003 postseason because he went through a bad streak like all baseball players do but at the wrong time...u just scrutinze that because the Yankees lost 2003 world series but that was torre's fault for letting weaver pitch game 4 relief and that fat drunk bum Wells cant even pitch an inning game 5 and let contreras lose control...but ARod having 2 years of no production thats not bad hitting streak its proff he cant perform on the high level postseason clutch....

all i will say is this and i will rest my say...u know (but the other yankee patronage here probably doesnt since he will never set foot in yankee stadium) the yankees deinfe success not how many homeruns u hit or triple crowns u win, gold glove and attendance records in regular season...success for yankees is ONLY and ONLY Winning championships...which u can only do by producing in playoffs...just ask George he will agree...defend Alexander the Great for all the A_Bombs from ARod all u want but he did nothing these two years to bring Yankees to next level and when u look at it the Yankees had very good 3rd basemen prior to AROD who did just that...

starting with Wade Boggs who helped win game 4 1996 WS with good eye and good walk...ARod would have struck out by Avery then...Chuckie Hayes was also instrument in winning 1996...then in 1998-2000 Brosius won MVP WS in 1998...even 2003 Aaron Boone at least prevented the Red Sox from breaking the curse just one more year...what has A-Rod done for team as of yet but increase ticket price for u??? Maybe he should give up 13 since Marino never won anything did he??

You're full of shit. if you go back and re-read my post you will see me not defending A-Rod and not talking about how great season he had and the numbers he put up. you will see me critisize hes persona and performance in playoffs and what he hasn't done for yanks. and me not going to yankee stadium doesnt have anything in this planet to do with not knowing whats yankees success. now, go watch your favorites astros as you like to switch your waggons time to time.

your just a attention whore wanting to get in on this sumway...what i said about u and bankrobber as being yankees fans should know that the orgnization only define success that they win championships...thats all...u even say it urself...

soriano is allowed to go through a bad streak but a-rod isnt?

but ARod having 2 years of no production thats not bad hitting streak its proff he cant perform on the high level postseason clutch....
he hit .320 in 50 at-bats in the playoffs last year with 3 homers

considering A-rod hit .286 in the regular season last year, and averaged a home run every 16.7 at-bats, he stepped his game up

"SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (AP) - Alex Rodriguez played poorly in the Yankees' American League division series loss in part because he was saddened by the death of the uncle who raised him, the slugger's mother said in an interview published in a local newspaper Sunday.

Lourdes Navarro said her son kept the Sept. 30 death of his uncle to himself because he was committed to helping his team win.

"I think he should speak with the team and tell them that his uncle, who was like his father because he raised him since he was 8, died in a hospital in Miami," Navarro told Listin daily newspaper.

Navarro didn't say what caused the death of Augusto Bolivar Navarro, who was her last surviving brother.

Rodriquez, a shortstop, was hitless in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Anaheim Angels that sent the Yankees home for the year, and finished the five-game series with no RBIs and a .133 batting average.

"I know how much he suffered from the death of his uncle without being able to do anything, from listening to me crying and not being able to be there," she said, suggesting some New York fans were being unfair to her son.

"I would like ... for the baseball fans to know that my son is a great human being, that they're seeing a human and not a robot, that he can fail, especially when there are reasons like this," she said.

Navarro said Rodriquez spoke with his uncle for three hours by phone the day before he died.

"We buried him in Santo Domingo...(Rodriguez) didn't come because of the high sense of responsibility that Alex has for his work," she said.

Rodriguez, baseball's only $25 million-a-year player, batted .321 during the regular season, with 48 homers and 130 RBIs."

on a side note...i just want to said that Roger Clemens pitched following his mother's passing and won the game thats why he will be going back to World Series soon...also in 1999 Paul O'Neill played the night following his father's death in game 4 World Series and they won the series with Clemens pitched...so...whatever:rolleyes:
