the campaign better be a drastic improvement on the utter borefest that was MW2. Can never understand how that game got such high review scores.
the oonly thing that saved that game was the addictiveness of the multiplayer. It was highly addictive even though it was extremely annoying and broken. I put that down to the game engine used. It was far better than the one treyarch used on black ops. I cant understand the stick that treyarch got though. The campaign was really good i thought. the multiplayer is good but i think the majority of people prefer MW2 multiplayer over it but personally i prefer Black Ops. The game engine isnt near as nice and neither are the weapons but its far less annoying i find.
There is very little quickscoping. Sniping is more realistic. You get idiots complaining thats its too hard now but do you see snipers in real life running around quick scoping enemies? I put MW2 back on the other day and the first game i got into, most of them were quick scoping so i just quit and took it out again. Then there was the Commando perk that allowed them to just teleport across a room, through your bullets, and melee you. That used in conjunction with Marathon pro and lighweight was possibly the most irritating thing you could find in a video game after quick scoping. And thats not getting started on the claymore spamming, camping and grenade launcher attacment being available right from the start. In fairness ,Treyarch addressed these issues and delivered a much more balanced multiplayer. Yea some things they added were annoying but not game breaking like in MW2. I just dont get why they didnt just used the MW2 game engine. I think what they had was a tweaked COD 4 engine.
So i hope they keep many of the features Treyarch added, like the perk system, maybe the points system too and the wager matches. That combined with an updated MW2 game engine would be awesome. Also, i hope Killstreaks dont stack as in Black Ops and they add some new ones. Killstreaks rewards in Black Ops were very poor.

MW3 is kicking ass right now, been playing since 11am, got it a day early cos Amazon is dope like that. And people comparing it to MW2 are way off. Yeah it looks similar, but feels way different. Plus the new class loudout is way more technical. Its not "heres your gun, heres your grenades", you can tweak you guns in so many different ways. Also now you can set up 3 different types of Kill streaks, well, they're now called Strike Packages because you get them based on points and not kills, so varying on the type of game, your different set of streaks load out different. Very few perks from other games. Think all i've spotted so far is slight of hand and hardline.
It has a metacritic score surpassing 80 with user score of 1,7, which is one of the lowest of all times. There's also a strange thing that they gained highest scores with sites that count the most in metacritic. Everyone say that Activision have paid game reviewers for favorable reviews.
There was also that Axe marketing thing where people had to choose MW3 or BF3 and BF3 scored a hundred times more votes worldwide. So I always knew that Activision was very shady, that Kotick was an asshole but now it gets even more crazy.

Head to IGN and compare the reviews of MW3 and BF3... They're practically the same reviews, but they added a .5 more to MW3... so 9.5 over 9.0. It's ridiculous really.
The promotion money thrown into MW3 is ridiculous. I just saw this commercial for it.
Something about the commercial really enraged me. I always saw the first few CODs as tributes to soldiers, but the ad just made it look trivialized. I dunno, maybe it's just me.

^It's because most people pre-order this game. The Modern Warfare series has become so insanely popular that no one doubts the quality of the game. Also, it's all about multiplayer. The series keeps surviving because the users believe that no one will play the last one anymore online so they have to get the new one. My two cents, anyway. I think all of this shit is stupid. They have guys online right now who've triple prestiged and shit. The game's been out for like a week. That's insane. You ever watch someone who plays this game a lot play it? It's scary to watch. It's like watching a robot. There's not much strategy or waiting involved. It's just running around shooting and throwing grenades into places you expect people to be hiding and shit. I mean, obviously, you can see who's good and who's not very fast, but it's because those who are good have played so much they're straight up on automatic. Again, like robots.
