But Genkhis Khaln and Khaled bin Al Waleed are alledgedly the only known military leaders that remained undefeated in their whole career... That has to count for something.
Are you serious. The Muslim army never existed? That's funny. Saladin's Army was just part of the Muslims army. If Salah, or Khaled wanted more troops it's without a doubt the Caliph would've sent more. It's an army that consisted of many nationals. That's what made it great.
Again, hands down to the Muslim Army. You all can hate until tomorrow, but the fact remains.
On a serious note, Duke, I am afraid you don't understand the Caliphate System. During those times, the Islamic Empire consisted of many "welayate" (states) which were ruled by "waleen" (governors), similar to the USA today.
Peter Green presented a theory in his book "Alexander of Macedon" stating that Alexander Lost the first battle of Granius, then was able to beat the Persians the next day.
What is certain is the Alexander never lost a campaign, but Genkhis Khan and Khalid bin Walid are said never to have lost a battle in their whole careers.

The first Rambo was believable, it got a little far-fetched after that. Still entertaining although if we're talknig fiction why not go the whole hog & say Superman?

:thumb: I completely agree. The Waffen SS were possibly the most fearsome fighting force in WWII. Recognition must also be given to the Prussian army after the reforms of von Roon. Defeating two great powers (Austria & France) in the space of four years is no mean feat, not to mention the fact that the Prussia system of leadership is the system all modern armies, from 1870 up to and beyond World War II, were based on.
Either Waffen SS or the Einsatzgruppen which were a division inside the SS. I believe the Einzatsgruppen were far deadlier and effective in doing their job, so effective that they killed quite many soviets soldiers and thousands of jews by themselves. Fearsome forces indeed.
