Yeah. I lost my other phone and paid the insurance crap for a new one that I got like a week ago. i didn't want to bother flashing it til the weekend but then the update came ota so i said fuck it. It's cool though.

I want to flash to hero again but I dont know, think I'm gonna wait til a new one comes out again, or someone updates theres to something quicker and more stable

So you guys get a new phone for free once your old one gets stolen/lost? ^^

That's funny and clearly shows the difference between American operators and ours then (though some of them are in fact same companies) since I had to pay for locking my number when my old phone got stolen and had to buy a new one for it's full price (which is 1.5x more than a new one in a retail store) only then I could have my number unlocked and get a new sim card (which I had to pay for too). It was long ago so now you don't have to buy a new phone, just buy a sim card but still you're phoneless.
And I think I don't have to say how often you happen to get your phone stolen here.

I have insurance on my phone which is like $6 extra a month, then to replace it cus it was lost/stolen it was straight up $80. If it's water damage, hardware failure, etc.. they will send me a new one for free. It depends on the problem though. The new one isn't necessarily "new" either, sometimes they're refurbished or what not, it's pretty much new though. The one I got was brand new though so it's cool

i dont know why they charge so much for you guys. its not fair the way they price you out of buying phones or getting insured.

you're lucky you get insurance for $6 extra per month, mine was like £10-12 which is like $25-$30 a month extra.

No, it won't stop you. You'll only stop getting OTA's if you're running a custom ROM, because official updates will remove root access.

There's a new full 1.6 Cyanogen ROM out now anyway. I'll probably update to it later.
