10/11 season transfer/rumors thread

Torres would be in the top 5 strikers. If he actually played. No point having a great striker that is in the treatment room. Gerrard didn't do it last season either.

If you could get 35M for Gerrard, and 70M for Torres.... You'd be fucking laughing. You could rebuild the team with that. Just pop to Real Madrid. They have end of season sales. Last year you could have picked up a lovely Wesley Sneijder for £15M.
The Spanish press are reporting that Chelsea are about to make a £35 million bid for Torres. I reckon Liverpool will hold out for £50m minimum.

donno if you guys follow brazilian soccer, but neymar is ridiculous....

Chelsea big winners as West Ham close to Neymar loan deal

West Ham United are closing in on a loan deal for Santos star Neymar.

The Daily Mail says West Ham are closing in on deal to sign Brazilian wonderkid Neymar on a season-long loan.

The 18-year-old Santos forward would then join Chelsea in a year's time.

The Brazilian side are weighing up whether to accept a £16million bid for their prize asset, who has also been tracked by Real Madrid.

Manchester City negotiated first refusal on Neymar and his 20-year-old team-mate Paulo Henrique Ganso when they agreed to let Robinho join Santos on loan and they will be offered the chance to match any offer they accept.

Skilful Neymar, who has scored 27 goals in 30 games this year, is 40 per cent owned by an investment group who must also agree on the fee. They only way to guarantee his outright signing is to meet his £28.4m release clause.

he's actually one that said he was going to honour his contract, well his dad said he was gonna stay the rest of the year to honour it.

but for many reasons he wouldn't stay,

-money for him, the salaries wont even compare obviously
-money for santos, brasil is just a training ground, they ship talent as soon as they show ANY kind of promise
-brasilian teams dont fly first class, they dont have the perks and comforts that other places have, the popularity factor as well.

^^i dont think he is that good tbh

and i think he is joining Newcastle

Not as good as Rodwell. But he has potential. Could be a good Defensive midfielder or right back in the future. Players like Lennon and Milner were available cheaply at the same age.

A decent world cup pushes up prices.

Apparently Man Utd are after Wes... Which I don't believe. They could have had him last year for £15. I believe he may be negotiating with Inter, hence the transfer rumours.

Sneijder should stay at Inter. He's idolized there.

Im hoping VDV gets a new club, tho. Liverpool should snap him up.

Or Sampdoria for all I care. Pair him up with Cassano.

Some paper talk:

Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to make a £25million swoop for Germany World Cup sensation Mesut Ozil after missing out on Wesley Sneijder. Would Ozil be a success in England?

Manchester City have turned down a £16.75million offer from Besiktas for Robinho. Where will Robinho end up

chelsea to make a £30m bid for fernando torres.

pienaar to spurs?

joe ledley to celtic?

drogba to man city for £20m?

Liverpool have said that they will resist all offers for Torres until next summer at least, not that id believe that or anything with the cunts we have running the club.

they also said that Gerrard can leave if he wants to because Liverpool owe him it or some bullshit like that.

Mascherano looks likely to leave not that ill cry over him or anything.

Ledley would be a great signing for Celtic
