08/09 Premier League thread.

Nah fair play to Liverpool, quality deserves respect, even if it's your enemies.
True, Utd have been great this season, its ur prem title. It would take something catastrophic to balls it up for u!

But we havent scored at old trafford in the league let alone win for like 4 years so u have to let us rub it in a bit! :D

I don't actually think we have been great this season lol, the top 4 have all been a little disjointed.
Yeah its been a weird season all round.

If we had won a couple of those stupid games we drew at Anfield then it would be a different story, but we didnt, Utd while at times havent played well, they still ground out wins and thats what makes a great team, something we didnt do enough.

Agreeed from a general perspective. It's the not-play-well-but-still-win that makes a team champions. It's not really the high profile games but the Hull's, Siena's, Energie Cottbuses and Heracles' that can make or break a team's title aspirations.

In the end it's decided on points. AZ too. Sure they've been at times brilliant this season, but other times they play very uninspired, businesslike football. But hey, three points....

Well he isn't the only one who doesn't :) Arsene Wenger never congratulates the other team on a win just blames their "defensive" play while Rafa called Everton a small team.

Swings and Roundabouts. But seeing as its Fergie lets all moan and be hyprcrites :)

^^he has been a sore loser for the past 20 years. He is always the same. But of course when Man Utd win,he is all smiles. He is a great manager but he sickens me. Benitez isnt near as bad. Actually Benitez hardly ever acts like a sore loser when Liverpool lose.

and Everton are a small club :) thats a fact.

Watching Villa - Spurs online. Not a bad match at all. Spurs early 0-1 up, but it's a balanced match. Decent play by both sides. Heskey headed onto the woodwork just before half time.

Fail of the year? Giovanni Dos Santos

Barcelona to Spurs.

Spurs try to offload him to Portsmouth, deal fall through.

Sent on loan to Ipswich :wondering:

thats sucks for Villa today. Laursen is a big loss to them and i agree with the Carew > Heskey comments. Agbonlathor is playing very poorly at the moment. I thought Lennon was very good again today and Keane was class in the second half. Woodgate and King were excellent as well.

Fail of the season for me is Dave Kitson. He joined Stoke, never scored and is now back at Reading on loan.

we just shot ourselves in the foot today. carew goal only a consolation - nothing more.

we shoulve scored more and i think at least shouldve had a penalty. we kept getting caught out though... and again zat knight and his terrible defending.

milner and gabby (in my eyes) played absolutely terrible today for their own standards. they made some awful passes. NRC made some excellent tackles. glad to see delfouneso make his premier league debut.

im wondering what's happening with o'halloran?

looks like i cant book next sunday off from work so will miss most of villa-liverpool match now.!
