Kluivert still is hoping for some form of comeback I think (much like Ronaldo, LAL) but it's pretty much over. I think he's drifting into some form of staff function now.
To come back on City's defense, how about this theory? Maybe they need to buy different defenders? I only know Richards a bit as a player (as in, Ive seen enough of him to basically know what he can and cannot do), but the rest I know only by name. But maybe, with their style of play, they need defenders capable of dealing with a counterattack, with rapid ball-changing scenarios.
As a side that focuses heavily on offense, you can't afford to have static defenders down there. I don't know if City's D. is pretty static or not. Are they?
