Where the fuck was Carew for Villa today? Is MON trying to copy Rafa with this squad rotation bullshit.

I dont think Carew has started a game since that strip club incident. Im not sure if he is injured or what.

Man City isn't that good. Looking at their vulnerability in the match against my beloved Twente, it's not something a club of those ambitions and calibre of players can afford. They have a lot of talented people there, way before the Sheikh Robinho period already, but there's something that doesn't make them click as a team. Or they have just need to buy better defenders? I dunno.

And yeah Kompany is pretty good. A lot of young Belgians are coming up now, it's good to see the Red Devils taking shape again. Back in ye ol' days Netherlands - Belgium was a match to look forward to. A real derby. But then they turned to crap.

^^yea Belgium are improving

But as for city. I think their defenders are good enough but the attacking style of football leaves them exposed alot. Its hard for them. They remind me of Real Madrid. Look at the defenders Real Madrid have but they concede so much because of the way they play.

True. Also its pretty much the style of every Spanish side. Fuck defending :D

Speaking of Netherlands v Belguim didnt they have a 5-5 thriller a few years ago.

Also where the fuck is Kluivert?

^^oh right. didnt know he had retired since. His career really went down the tubes didnt it?

Heres a shock. Sir Alex the pig is whinging after losing to Arsenal. The fixture list is unfair to Man Utd now. I dont care how great a manager he is, he makes me sick. He is such a sore loser and never stops whinging. At least Rafa Benitez is gracious in defeat.

*waits for the "he's used of it by now" response*lol

Kluivert still is hoping for some form of comeback I think (much like Ronaldo, LAL) but it's pretty much over. I think he's drifting into some form of staff function now.

To come back on City's defense, how about this theory? Maybe they need to buy different defenders? I only know Richards a bit as a player (as in, Ive seen enough of him to basically know what he can and cannot do), but the rest I know only by name. But maybe, with their style of play, they need defenders capable of dealing with a counterattack, with rapid ball-changing scenarios.

As a side that focuses heavily on offense, you can't afford to have static defenders down there. I don't know if City's D. is pretty static or not. Are they?

Javier Mascherano is the new Argentina captain.

Roy Keane has reportedly lost patience with Paschal Chimbonda and may look to offload him. I dunno why he signed him. Barsley did well last season and Chimbonda is an idiot. He isnt too strong defensively either. Keane has made a lot of bad signings.
