There is only One God.
There are millions of deities, before and after the abrahamic god. You only believe in the abrahamic god because you were born in the UK. If you were born in India you would be a hindu, if you were born in germany 2000 years ago you would believe in thor, if you were born in ancient greece you would believe in zeus.

Look at what people believe and why. Would you believe what you believe in you were born in another culture?

Has anyone tried to meditate? or have a spiritual perspective on things?

we have a soul (spiritual) and a body (physical). the soul is our life and once that leaves the body we are practically dead inside.

You think i became an atheist because i heard Dawkins speaking on the internet?
From what I've seen in Words of Wisdom, your path to atheism was parallel with your interest in what Dawkins and others had to say. I don't know why you became an atheist, but I'm pretty sure you read The God Delusion to reaffirm your beliefs. Again, to me, that's still stupid. :D

I was an atheist many years before i even knew Mister Dawkins exists. So your observation is completely wrong.

And to say its stupid to read a book about something i think its true, is in itself, totally ridiculous.

i cant say because i dont know how i would think being brought up in another culture. that would mean being nurtured differently - and i know where this is leading. different cultures do have different beliefs.

God could perhaps present himself in many forms if he wanted to.

How do you explain that we have a soul and psych?

I will help you a little bit to find the answer: You would have a different kind of belief.

There you go.

You dont know if there is heaven or hell but you know there is one god?
well, do you know? notice how we call him God and not Gods? There is one God.

we all have different beliefs about life after death.

If there are Gods (more than one) - who's to say that it cant be one God in different forms?

Alright. I won't ask why you become an atheist because I don't care. :)

And to say its stupid to read a book about something i think its true, is in itself, totally ridiculous.
Yeah, agreed, I was just being an asshole with that specific comment.

If god presents him/herself in many forms, why have different messages for each form?

I don't believe in a soul.

There is only One God.
Obviously he wont be in a physical form on earth. I cant say heaven because i dont know if there is a heaven and/or hell. depends which is true, heaven/hell, reincarnation etc...

Why would there be more than one God?
So what about the Deities that existed before the "God" you are referring to was even conceived?

Many Deities had physical presence on Earth. People had more than one Deity to represent different aspects of life and Earth.
