I saw Spurs against Norwich the other day, Dos Santos played well, had some nice touches. Still kinda surprising Barca sold him...he didnt develop as fast as Bojan but hes still talented, but very inconsistant.

Whats with kit makers producing new jerseys and shorts for the World Cup qualifications, then a whole new one for the tournament itself?

I've already seen a leaked home France jersey and Wales one for the quals.

I know it was a friendly but as you can see from the thrashing liverpool gave rangers yesterday there is a huge difference in quality between the leagues...If Rafa can get it right and with the team we have i am quietly confident this year..

Who thinks Football Manager 09 is going to be shit?

^Well that is a bad analogy.

Chelsea battered AC Milan 5-0 doesnt mean Serie A is that inferior.

Hamburg beat Real Madrid, so Bundesliga > La Liga?

But Real Madrid beat Arsenal so...Bundesliga > La Liga > Premiership?

Mallorca beat Newcastle
Man Utd beat Espanyol.

It doesn't matter.

lol @ Zeljko Kalac's mistake.

So, Sneijder picked up an injury, and it's not a minor injury. Reported to be out for at least 6 months. Enter Ronaldo?

Oh and Van der Vaart has just officially announced a Real Madrid move.

Yea but there is a huge gulf in class between the Premiership and the Scottish league. and the premiership is also stronger than serie a but Chelsea arent 5 goals better than AC Milan. and Aresenal beat Real Madrid didnt they? Adeboyor scored i think.

Yeah my bad Arsenal lost to Juventus, so I meant Serie A > Premiership but..then Premiership > Serie A?

Obviously the gulf in class is huge, but I dont see many midtable Premiership teams doing anything in the UEFA Cup. Rangers got to the final. Celtic have reached the last 16 of the Champions league.

And as much as people in England love to use the CL to use as their arguments over which league is the best, this is always forgotten. :notrust:

Serie A may not seem as strong but it is still a good league, Most people get blinded by the top 4 in England not realising that the rest of the League isn't that great.

i'd personally take the 5th, 6th, 7th team in Serie A over the Premierships 5th, 6th and 7th. And whoever finished bottom in Serie A over Derby.

anyone else think Spurs might struggle this season? where the leaders in their team now. King is fucked and Keane is gone. perhaps Woodgate but he could get injured as well. I dont see anyone else besides him.

Celtic and Rangers both would do well, seeing as they would get £30 million more than they are now. There are not many clubs in the UK bigger than Celtic and Rangers.

also lmao at Rangers.

Also I why the hell do Schalke have to play Atletico Madrid in the third round :( Damn it.

Aye, Spurs lacked that last season. I never rated Spurs last season though, they are not that good of a side.

Jesus Liverpool were poor today..Kuyt offered nothing, Torres and Keane were non existant..and Alonso cannot run the midfield thats why i think raffa wants barry..we lacked width and our defence was in shambles..thank god for Pepe..Hopefully we play better against sunderland...It just proves if your a better looking team on Paper it dosnt mean shit!!

Kuyt should be put in the rubbish bin. i cant believe he is still a liverpool player. Liverpool will be lucky to get 4th this season. he leaves Finnan off the squad and plays that usless fucker Arbeloa at right back. if Liverpool start this season badly then Benitez better go.

Duke must be ripping his hair out about Twente.
lol @ Olympiakos
Liverpool were very very poor. Pepe and Reina saved their ass.
Fenerbahce were given a lifeline. I hate Partizan, but Fenerbahce didn't deserve it.
