You mean the creepy pedo women? I don’t think it’s glossed over, it’s just there are still men that pretend that’s the ultimate boys fantasy. I’ve had men tell me their first experiences were with older women when they were young teens and they don’t understand why it’s concerning.

Well, growing up for me, it was usually male teachers that got caught and were in the news. I don't know what has changed that now we see more women getting caught in the last 10-15 years. Maybe social media tries to amplify one over the other.
But regardless of genders involved, it's surprising people are not calling for vetting educators better than we are currently. Do I feel strongly about it? No, but with groomers getting exposed in churches, Hollywood, etc., I am curious as to why it seems schools are being kept in the blindspot. Aside from news articles mentioning yet another teacher or coach getting busted for "inappropriate relations" with a student, it seems the story dies shortly after that.
If we're getting in to why it seems so many males seem to be OK with the thought banging an older teacher, it might be time to acknowledge the difference in how sex is viewed based on gender?
Do we try and change that? Try and convince people that it's OK if the underage person is OK with it? It's still statutory rape, grooming, etc. And it's weird for an adult to be looking at minors like that. But yeah, I do have the belief that if it's a male student and he's OK with it, then...eh, no harm no foul. On the other hand, if it was a female student, I'd "infantilize" her and her feelings and still demand her abuser be put behind bars. Regardless if she claims she's OK with it.
Then the person I was listening to was talking out their ass and probably isn't true.

Any of you guys got cookware you swear by? Those of you who have tried to cook better and at home.
Seems like All Clad is the go-to for pots and pans but that shit can be $1000 for a few pieces from them. But they claim it lasts forever.
I have to replace some of the stuff at home that my mom bought over a decade ago. Namely the non-stick pans. And I've read for some time that the teflon coating is not good for you, even if you're careful to not let it burn. So I got one ceramic skillet from Tramontina. Which is fine. But I'm the only one that uses non-stick because it lets me cook eggs without fucking them in the ass. For meat, though, it looks like stainless steel is the way to go.
And I have to get better utensils. It took me 10 minutes to find a pizza cutter for the pizza I got from Costco today lol. And the bearing on it was loose so I was cutting out squiggly pieces of pizza.

You should use ceramic and GreenPan is the brand. There are others that are good too, but overall, I'd go with GreenPan. Plus, get a large stainless stockpot for pasta and stuff. Many good brands for that, no need for overpriced All-Clad. I like Cuisinart for budget, "Made-In" brand as a more expensive choice.
Would I still want to use a non-stick saucepan for boiling pasta, though? I thought you still wanted to keep ceramic away from high heat. I'm checking GreenPan out right now, though. I'll check Cuisinart too. I thought Cuisinart was the Lexus to the All Clad's Rolls Royce but it appears Cuisinart might be closer to to budget brands than it is to the more higher end ones.

Just power and internet outages due to the rain and winds. But some other places seem to get hit much harder. South Carolina and below in to Florida. Curious to see how DeSantis spins this one.
Sucks about Asheville. It was a place I wanted to visit when I drove from Charlotte to Gatlinburg a year ago. I heard it was a really nice city/town that not a lot of people know about. But those who have been know it's a really nice, underrated place.
Hope they all recover soon.
