World Cup 2010

So it's safe to say that after all the World Cups and continental tournaments, most of the top teams in world football are about even now? Anyone can beat anyone on their day? There isn't an almighty imposing team in the World scene anymore.. Great for football, terrible for punting.

It's a bit of a grey area the Suarez incident. It is cheating, bottom line. But who wouldn't do the same in that situation or applaud if it was the team you supported.
Seriously guys, are you out of your minds? How the hell is that cheating? *shakes head*

It was obvious for everyone to see what he did so clearly it was no cheating. Cheating is intentionally doing something against the rules/laws and trying to hide it or cover it up.

Like Flip said, he probably didnt even think at that particular moment. It was more like a reflex.

How was that ever different in the last 10 years?

Well, I'm back, sadly hahaha

Fuck, that was a weird game, Brazil made an almost perfect 1st half, dominated and could have scored 3 times easily.
And then, on the 2nd half something happened, off course the Dutch stepped up but fuck it, Brazil just stopped played, and they made 2 strange goals.

And after that we had the Genius, the brilliant Felipe Melo doing what he does best...SHIT

Anyway, we are a very optimistic people, and Brazil is always Brazil on the football field, thats why we had some kind of hope to win this WC.
But we would be lying if we didnt saw that coming.

Kaka with his pubis fucked up and Robinho were the only 2 players who could step up and make good plays

We always had like 5 of those...

Now I hope the Dutch make it to the finals, they have a nice team, and I hope the Germans crush our Argentinian brothers...

I was really backing Ghana up, but now I have to go with my fellows South Americans Uruguay and Paraguay

Now...waiting for another Coach and 2014 hahahaha

2-2 and penalties. Argentina to bow out, because the Germans missed one vs. Serbia and it'll be about 43 years before a German NT-player will miss another spotkick :D

You could've rolled us up completely in the first half, but you guys forgot to score some more goals. Knocked us to the floor with the Robinho goal and set to finish but you didn't. Stekelenburg had a great save on a Kaka effort too.

Second half we both came out differently. Brazil was sloppy and unfocused and we were the opposite. Very tenacious in the duels, liked to see that. Of course we got a bit lucky with the equaliser. Communicative failure between Cesar and his defence? I dunno, one could argue it was a "forced" own goal since Sneijder did put a great ball in, but lucky nonetheless.

Gave us wings, though. Started dominating, winning the challenges, great positional play. Netted a fucking good second goal (lmao that its Sneijder that actually headed it in. That wasn't part of the plan) and then the Brazilians lost their cool, I think. Insanely stupid card by Melo (who had the audacity to whine about it afterwards, gtfo), Robinho crying like a child at every opportunity. They didn't combine as well as they did in the first half, lost their offensive inspiration.

Kaka was mostly played out of the match by De Jong and Bommel. They were immense.

Later in the second half we should've made at least one more and perhaps even a 4-1. Two huge opportunities that we wasted.

maybe im going blind but wasnt Suarez sent off and GHana awarded a penalty.

a bit different to the Henry incident wasnt it?

not that i want to get into again because its two completely different situations
People seem to support what Suarez did and do not support what Henry did, that's all what I'm saying, in the sense that both were cheaters, not only Henry.

And I was backing you, you Irish drunk. I'm still pissed off at what happened at the Stade de France.

I always told you, Bosnia-H. and Croatia are my two countries I support. Then it's Ireland. I wouldn't say I support them, because I'm not Irish obviously, but I sympathize them a lot.

cheat (ch
t)v. cheat·ed, cheat·ing, cheats
v.tr.1. To deceive by trickery; swindle: cheated customers by overcharging them for purchases.
2. To deprive by trickery; defraud: cheated them of their land.
3. To mislead; fool: illusions that cheat the eye.
4. To elude; escape: cheat death.

v.intr.1. To act dishonestly; practice fraud.
2. To violate rules deliberately, to benefit in some matter, as in a game:
You want to argue with a dictionary now?

I'm not saying he shouldn't have done it, I just think it's harsh on Ghana.

How can you SUPPORT Suarez... Hell, I understand why he did what he did (even though he could have easily headed that ball out instead of putting his hands right in front of his head), but I will NEVER support that... Even if it was a Bosnian player in the 90th minute of the WC final when leading 1-0 who did that, I would not support it. I will just try to ignore what happened and be happy, but I would never support such a gesture. It's -obvious- cheating.

I play with my hand from time to time, to place the ball in front of me when the ref doesn't see it, or push players when they jump or whatever, but I would never play with my hand that obviously and clear the ball off the line in the last minute of a match...

And what Ole did was not really cheating. It was not definitely a goal, it was just a dude going one on one with the keeper. This was -cleared off the line- meaning that it would have went in.
