Teams are normally pathetically reserved in the first games of the group. But the amount of poor corner kicks, free kicks and crosses is shocking, wasn't this also the case in Euro 2008?

here is some of my biggest beefs with what ive seen so far:

teams go out with an attitude to stop the other team scoring rather than scoring themselves. its the World Cup. have a go a least.

non existant heading ability from strikers. its a dying art imo.

crossing from deep positions. fucking pathetic. waste of time. defenders dream. a high ball being lobbed in from out the field. where are the players that can beat a man and get to the by line and put in a good delivery?

the amount of players who cant strike a football properly. if you want to keep the ball down, you get your body out over it as your striking it. the amount of shots ending up in row z is ridiculous. maybe it is the football. i dunno.

professional footballers who cant trap a football properly. this is a regular occurance.

No way was it like the Euros. Holland's group came out gunning. Germany did also against Poland. Most of the teams went all out.

I'm happy Paraguay tied, I wanted a win, but what are you going to do. I'm tired of Italy fanboys still thinking Italy will take it all. No, they will not take it all. Christ, I hate Italy fans.

I meant as in poor crosses and free kicks..not whether the first few games were any good. Euro 2008 was generally a good tournament.

But the players seem to have poor set piece ability, the crosses are so pathetic. It just seems the creative talent is being sacrificed.

Chili have some exciting players, I expect them to go to the last 16.

I was surprised Japan beat Cameroon. I didn't watch the game though, was working. I'm looking forward to Brazil and Portugal.

Yeah, I dunno. Will Serbia stop playing Zigic... seriously, he sucks. There's a reason why he's always on the bench. See, this is why I like Carmi lol. I agree, Di Natale would have been a good choice to start with. What about Quagliarella? Another good choice, and he came off a good season. Lippi is senile.
