Yankees sweep 5 games from Red Sawx

i would still take the red sox over the white sox though for the wild card...actually, i want anyone except the white sox...so the twins would do just fine too..

the red sox just won a championship...they have no incentive to win another for a couple years...

^^ well...on paper you do....your pitching is really your weak spot..

see, i see your roster like this (potentially) for the playoffs and no sooner..

C-Posada
1B-Giambi
2B-Cano
3B Gay-Rod
SS Jeter
OF-Damon
Matsui
Abreu
DH-Sheff-ster

and as much as i love melky, i feel if he's coming off the bench later on in the game, or sheff needs to rest that wrist of his, melky can just come out and DH or play OF....just melky alone adds so much depth to your bench...

the pitching is still a scary issue... farns is really just...weird...being a former cub, i def. know about that.... proctors straight...meyers is straight....randy is just out of it...where the hell is pavano? wright's coming along fine...wang gets the win...moose is def. the ace....but if you stack em up against a couple other possible playoff teams...for fuck's sake, the white sox....i dont think the pitching can hold up...garland is coming around...getting runs back from him iwll be hard..contreras always does well against the yanks....so..i dunno...

then lets say the twins make it...johan, and carlos silva are tough fuckers...im not so sure about liriano when he comes back, but what if he comes back strong?? in the division series, its that could be the ingredients to a sweep...

^^^i called TOR at the beginning to take the east, but then again i called CHI to take the central with CLE as the wild card, so shows what i know.

^^^that's why i said i called it at the beginning of the season. first of all, toronto's not a bad team. with the way the yankees and red sox have been playing this year (before NYY's resurrgence in the past few weeks), the jays had a good of a chance as anyone, but they just haven't played to potential.

also, you never know who's gonna be the breakout team, either. i don't think many people expected detroit to be the best team in the league this year. i don't think i was going much out on a limb calling toronto. obviously i was wrong, but that doesn't mean that it was a fool's call.

oh, and fred savage--actually kevin arnold--would knock the shit outta mike tyson. don't even get me started on ben savage:p

the blue jays are only 2-3 players away from winning the world series

unfortunely for Toronto, those players are Albert Pujols, Derek Jeter and Johan Santana
