Technology wireless problem??? :confused:

ok so my neighboor has dsl but his is really faster than mine. i see it has 54mps and mine only has 11 mpbs
so when i connected to his it wouldnt load up any webpages even tho i had signal(it was yellow so i had connection)
so my question is how do i get two serf on his net wen im connected ?

you prolly have a signal, but its not strong enough....my router is justi n the next room in my dad's office, so i get full signal strength....make sure your adapter antennae, if it has one, kinda points in the general direction of the room in which the router is in...

He probably has his wireless locked to his MAC ID meaning you can see the connection but are unable to use it since you're not allowed to.

He has WEP encyption enabled more than likely. He needs to allow you to connect.

he has wep enabled but i no the code its the same as mine its a 2wire router and all 2wire routers have the same encryption code which is 3116110988 all u do is type it in and connect.(only works for 2wire modems) i get connected but i cant browse the net or anything..its fast tooo 54.mpb's daaaaaaamn

and that 54 mbps, isnt that data transfer between a computer network and not the internet speed? i cant dl shit at 54 mbps....i dont think anything can
