Why Kurt Angle Was Pulled Off WWE TV & When He’ll Return

WWE has pulled Kurt Angle off the road and off any scheduled shows for the time being. WWE wants to give Angle some time to recover. Angle is in constant pain from neck problems, something he may need to deal with for the rest of his career. Sources close to Angle say that his injuries are considered to be worse than Steve Austin’s. Austin retired from Wrestling due to neck problems and even now is hesitant to return for even one match in risk of damaging his neck further or paralysis.

Recently during the European tour, Angle was spotted having trouble lifting his luggage. He then openly admitted that he is in debilitating pain. Despite that, he never gave any inclination of “wanting” time off. He knows he’s a big draw on the WWE cards, so he wanted to finish all scheduled matches before asking for some vacation time. Management grew so worried of Angle’s situation they insisted he be sent home for rest and relaxation.

With Batista sidelined with injuries and Randy Orton suspended, Angle was definitely needed to add star power to the SmackDown line up. WWE made the decision to schedule JBL vs. Rey Mysterio for Judgment Day, just in case Angle couldn’t make it. Nonetheless, Angle is expected to return to WWE Television on May 16 at the SmackDown taping in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

thats one of the major problems with wrestling today, everyone's scared of losing time and money by not wrestling that they push themselves thru injuries that have the potential to be career ending if left unchecked. thats also why you have so many wrestlers hooked on painkillers. as much as i like Angle, i have to agree, he should retire before he becomes a cripple permanently

Cause he was upset that WWE wasnt gonna let him be champion at WM 22, instead letting Rey win the title. Randy argued with management that he felt He should be Champ, an Mysterio didnt deserve to be Champ. WWE told him end of discussion we've made our decision to let Rey Win. But Randy kept on bitching. That an He's constantly harassing the Divas backstage. The WWE just had Enough of His child antics.


As far as Angle goes like you guys said he does need to retire. he'll wind up going on TV an Paralize himself like Droz did back in the day. He's fun to watch but your health comes first.
