Why all the hate for Redick?

#1
why?? i personally dont enjoy watching college sports...too many damn teams...but i have respect for the guy that JUST broke the ACC record for points scored....for years, people have been hating on the guy....in a SI about a year and a half ago, there was an article just on him, and people hating on him....why??? cuz he beats your team?? he's a good player, yes, and he still has the NBA to prove to that he's good, but give him some respect....he's become like the yankees....if you're not a duke fan, you hate him....i dont love him, but i dont hate him....i respect him though....

"i hate him because im a tar heel fan
"

i understand that...the whole ACC thing going on...you should be...but i have Illinois and ND fans shitting on him...why??

"Was there a need for another thread?"

i like the attention.....

"Because he sucks in March when good players on good teams are playing him."

he does bad and duke still makes the final four??? so then is it just that people think he's overrated or something? his points record is something to be proud of...

repped for having your head on straight ;)

Redick is a little bitch with a good shot. He' not even the best player on his team IMO. That Goomba-looking like motherfucker Shelden Williams is.

I hate J.J. Redick for two reasons. One - he's a Dookie. Two - t.v. announcers and commentators (i.e. Dick Vitale and Jay Bilas) give him more credit than he deserves. They hype up parts of his game that frankly aren't that good because he's Duke's best scorer. "Commentator A" will be talking about how clutch he is, and then he'll commit two turnovers in the final minute and almost blow the game (i.e. versus Boston College). Or he'll try to drive past a guy, realize he's too slow, jump into him and throw the ball up and they'll talk about how great of a penetrator he is. Bullshit. The only thing he's good at penetrating is an asshole.

lol whatever happend to him.......
Another white guy with nothing but a good shot who, coming out of Duke, was supposed to be something great. Never averaged more than 18.2 points per game, which he accomplished his rookie year. He quickly became a career bench player, and is no longer on an NBA roster after averaging a whopping 5.3 PPG in 49 games for Miami last year.

I wonder if J.J. will be as lucky as Christian was and have the opportunity to sit on the bench for 13 seasons considering he's 7 inches shorter.

i hate duke cuz since my 3rd grade teacher turned me onto the tar heels, duke has been a thorn in my side...props to the north carolina women for beating the duke women this past weekend...but I have a couple of teams in college i cheer for, duke will never be one of them...

What do you have against a White guy that only has a great jumpshot :p

can't be a success in the NBA. you need to be able to do more than shoot the ball to be a star. if all you needed was a jump shot, steve kerr would have been a starter on any team in the NBA.

Ok, he will end up being like Steve Kerr. Speaks volumes of where a smooth J will get you.
steve kerr was a point guard, he specialized in the 3, but he was a pass-first player. JJ is a shoot-first shooting guard. they are completely different players.

yeah, and 6'4" shoot-first and shoot-only shooting guards don't make it in the NBA. ask all-american joe forte.
