when to have protein shake??

i got my protein supplements, when do i have these, it only tells me how much to have, i know i should have one straight after training and im going to be having 3 a day, so does the other 2 a day really matter when or would be like in between meals be ok?

between meals is perfectly fine

thanks, would it be better me having the first one not long after i wake up, or would it be better to have my breakfast first then wait a bit for the shake

well if you're only going to have 3 shakes a day,take one right after you wake up,take one after workout and take one right before bed

i eat protein bars. is there a major difference between the shakes and the bars (excluding the obvious ones like ones liquid and the other is solid)

just as long as the kind of protein in the bars is whey,then there wouldnt be a difference in terms of protein. i wouldn't recommend the bars though because they contain so much garbage to make them look and taste like a candybar.even the low in sugar bars are packed with sugar alcohols.sugar alcohols contain almost the same amount of calories as real sugar,but the calorie content can be excluded from the nutritional information grid you see at the back of the bar.so it may look healthy,but it isnt.
