I want a reliable computer strictly for production and recording... what should I get?

Well I'd imagine graphics cards aren't too important.

You want a professional soundcard, don't pro tools do 1?
A very large amount of hard drive space.
A decent cpu, and a fair chunk of memory.


I'm not an expert, so this is just me guessing.

go to the computer store, check out what they have. computers are very cheap these days.

the two main important factors to look for are CPU speed and RAM

get yourself a p4 processor around the 3Ghz speed. Make sure it has alot of ram. I suggest you get 1 GB of ram. The rest of the options are secondary to what you want to do.

maybe a Mac? 3en uses one of these neva actually seen 1 b4 in my life so god knows what there like to use.
