To be honest with the talent they have theres really no excuse for the Yankee's. But never the less lets put it to a vote.

pitching has been the yankees weak spot for years now. Instead of going with older talent like randy johnson pitching wise, and Johnny damon/A Rod who really havent contributed that much to the yankees they should focus on their younger talent. Derek jeter wasnt a seasoned veteran with a huge contract when he became yankee captain.

id take scott brosius, paul oneil, bernie williams in their prime over any of these high priced veterans any day. Not everyone can perform like they did when they become a yankee. look at weaver.

But that said, clemens will help...but some of these guys need to start contributing offensively as well..Cano, rodriguez, giambi...all in bad slumps doesnt help
