whenever i browse the web on firefox or ie, after a while, my inet will stop working. i can still access it through the ps3 or any other device. i can't access local ip addresses either when in this state. the only thing that works is to reboot. i tried adding something to the registry manually hoping it would solve it, didn't work. i blocked the IP Helper service from running on startup, didn't help. basically, nothing i do seems to help. i upgraded my router software thinking vista and the router somehow treated package sending and receiving differently. not working. i can't get to the root of the problem. everything i've tried are tips and help i found using google. i didn't bother going past page two or three though. hoping someone knows an easy fix to this problem.
before suggesting it's my ethernet controller, it used to work perfectly fine. i purchased some new parts and installed vista, and the internet worked fine for a few weeks. only recently did i get this problem, but i haven't installed any applications that could affect the windows system in a substantial way since i first got everything up and running. i tried disabling ZoneAlarm, didn't work. NOD32 i won't turn off, but i know it's not that.
