I think its about time Video refs should be used. Im sick of watching the poor level of reffin' over the last few years. In the last 2 weeks i've seen some ref making some really crazy decisions through poor judgement and lack off attention, and its really ruinning the game to have to sit there and accept the decision when its completely wrong.

I'm writing letters to both UEFA and FA over my digust.

Any one feel the same?

Twenty years overdue, but the Associations are ruled by old white men. Cocksucker Blatter and his rape-buddies think it will ruin the sport, whereas matches are already ruined by stupid calls.

It's an utter disgrace that 50 million people sitting in front of the telly know what's up, when the one bloke on the pitch that has to make the call doesn't.

In an age where certain wrong decisions can cost people their managerial jobs, video technology is a necessity in my opinion. They would also make the referee's job less stressful and ease the pressure that some of them feel.

this is a very debatable topic. some people may argue that stopping the game and watching video replays ruins the flow of the game. why would you constantly stop the game to analyse?

also, i think things balance out within a game anyway. for instance, sometimes you may concede a penalty which shouldnt have been but at the other end you probably score a goal which should have been disallowed or did not cross the goal line.

i know wrong decisions are being made quite commonly and these are the decisions which can influence the outcome of the result.

anyone watch soccer am?

^^thats a good point. The long stoppages required while they go to analyse video footage would be very annoying. It holds the game up for a couple of minutes in Rugby when they wait for the touch judge to decide whether a try should be given or not.

But with Rugby, tries are scored a lot more frequently than goals are scored in football so the probability than one of the tries is going to be dubious increases. With football I'd say what, the average goal count for a game is about 2-3?? And out of them 2-3 goals the vast majority are gonna be clear cut goals where the technology isn't needed, so the number of delays in the game is relatively small.

However when you start to address incidents such as tackles in the area which could be penalties, or challenges that look like red card material, the dependancy on the technology is going to increase.

Will it just be used for goals? Or for penalties? I can imagine teams asking for penalties 5-6 times a game. Imagine C.Ronaldo and Drogba's exploitation of the video ref lol

Let's start with help for goalline and offside decisions. Those are factual and not open to interpretation.
