I expected more from Zenit. They really went down with this one. Anyone noticed how Saviola is playing better and better as the World Cup is coming?
Schalke was superior in the second half. Outstanding perfomance. But, if referee didn't exclude Bordon (undeserved) the game should be much different. Poor way to help the favorite.
It's a shame that Rapid didn't win. They were better. I was rooting for them.
And, at the end, Basel proved once again that's capable for big acts in Europe. They have disciplined and very skilled team. Middlesbrough was even lucky. First Basel goal was very strange. I'm sure that papers in England will analyse it very well. Anyone noticed big message that Basel fans put out last night 'Beat the fucking Boro, win the Cup tomorrow'?
