TV shows, the government, elitists, and conspiracy theories

i am a believer in the elitist theory in the united states of america. basically, i believe everything in this country from politics to the media to the day-to-day activites of our citizens is controlled by around 500-1000 of the wealthiest people in america. i do not believe that we live in a democracy in the least, out politicians are puppet-figurehead-types. the voters of america are trained to think and act a certain way, based on what is best for the upper .005% of america's wealtiest individuals and corporations. it is all very complicated, but it boils down to the fact that this way of living has really been relatively successful for the united states. the intelligence of our people is kept at a nice level, and yet it still is possible for a non-elite member of society to enter into elitist status. that is basically all that talk you hear about america being the land of opportunity. i am not angry or jaded because of the society that we live in. rather, it makes things a lot easier for most of us. we can live our ordinary, benign lives in peace and without too much worry. those that suffer are the poorest of america, going hungry, fighting amongst themselves, selling drugs, being sent to war, and basically not being afforded that same chance of success (using education as a spring board) as someone of a more wealthy status.

anyway, i could rant on and on for hours, but what i am getting at is the television shows that came out this spring about hurricanes and aliens. i think that the government was conditioning the public for dealing with hurricanes by airing a tv series about such a thing. i think that those in the highest positions of power were privy to knowledge that this season would be a devastating hurricane season. if anyone has any thoughts on this, i would certainly be interested.

and the thing that intrigues me is that there are a lot of shows on the fall docket about aliens. are we in for some new scientific information being released to the public?

a little side note...i am not a "democrat" or a "republican" or any thing else like that. i see what i see, take into account that what i am seeing is force-fed to me, and i make up my mind accordingly.

i dont really think that movies and tv shows about aliens or natural disasters are anything new. look at movies that came out in the late 90's. you had as many movies about natural disasters as you have movies about a comic book character.

it is a known fact that the govt and certain politicians do have a helping hand movies and t.v. shows.

that show on abc about the female president. the whole idea behind that show is to get the american people conditioned to the idea of having a woman president. specifically hillary clinton. a few of her former aides work on that show.

as far as new scientific info being released? just look at the sci/tech section of the news. new shit everyday. did you see that remote that can control a human being? that shit is crazy.

I'm not going to come here and bash your belief in the theory, but I do hope that you don't think you're superior to people who don't believe in it.

no, i don't think that i am superior to those that believe otherwise.

rather, i respect and embrace others' ideas as it is the differences between us that make the world go 'round.

I think elitist theory is quite interesting, especially when it leads into Freemasonry, or the Illuminati - that stuff is fascinating. But I would shy away from the Michael Moore stuff, which is interesting, although its credibility might be questioned.

In regard to tv and the airing of hurricance shows... you'd probably get a better understanding if you looked at all the documentaries that are aired per year.... they'd be on a wide variety of things right? Then look at how many of the disasters that they specialised on did NOT occur. Often conspiracy theories are as easily refuted as they are created.
