Dept. of Defense investigating sadistic "water bottle" incident.
a video of a soldier in the back of a truck, taunting Iraqi children with a bottle of water. These US soldiers laugh derisively at a little kid running as fast as he can for some water. Apparently, the U.S. Department of Defense is just as disgusted, and it is investigating the incident, along with another incident caught in video that shows a soldier complaining that he can't shoot children who throw rocks at his vehicle.

I really felt like hurting those fuckin soldiers when I watched the video. Stupid sadistic soldiers.

Seriously, can you really not see, in all honesty, just remove all the bullshit and see it for what it is, just call a spade exactly what it is - a spade and look deeply into what you said and realise that attitudes like the one you have is what pisses people off MORE than the original incident, an attitude all over the American media. I'm not even bothred no more about the original incident, it happned, he's a twat and will hopefully be served with his share of karma.
The problem is not that there is inhunanity daily from people, the problem is Americans like you who defend at all cost or then resort to thinking you have some kind of superiority over all other people and nations which makes any actions of American people excusable.

That's what people bash and that's what people hate and that's what people want to see the downfall of.

The soldiers in it were stupid enough to post it on youtube.. I'm agains the war in Iraq completely, but we're supposively over there to "liberate" them, not tease them with bottles of water.. How often do you think these kids get clean water? Think before you speak next time...

Iraqi kids will run after you with WHATEVER you've got that they want. I've seen Iraqi kids jump on the back of a heavy equipment transporter and pull off ready-to-eat meals and water, and then run off smiling and flipping off the convoy. Maybe it's that kind of behavior and throwing rocks at convoy drivers that caused these soldiers' spitefulness. Anyway, these individual soldiers would probably do the same to kids in their own home town if given the chance. I've seen guys in cars throw drinks at joggers and ppl on bicycles just for fun. Anything keeping some of these same jerks from joining the army?

I daresay that actions similar to what takes place on the vid have been going on around every army that's ever been. Some hot, tired and bored Roman legionary probably taunted the ancestors of the kid chasing the truck from the back of his chariot. It isn't pretty but it happens.

Now, for every dick like this there's many who willingly toss meals and bottles of water, even when their platoon leader specifically told them not to. Disobeying an order? Sure. Being a decent human being? Ranks a little higher in situations like this.

you guys can call me a dumbass or hate on what i said all you want but look that the thread and its title. branding the troops "skandelous" (what is scandalous about it?) and staring off with saying dont forget how bad these troops are is complete bullshit. to say nobody is bashing americans is bullshit because that is exactly what the title and first sentence of the orignal post is doing.

And the way I look at it, the Muslim extremist do send they're children strapped with bombs.. but the west does just about the same. Everytime u hear of atrocities by a soldier it gets forgotten about a week after. Check history crimes have took place during war over and over again, and are never stopped till the public decides to take full action against them. And the public will never take full action against anything till we start realizing that the value of every human is equal. Yes thousands died 9/11, and it was a horrible crime. But so is whats going on in Iraq and Afgahnistan today, yet theres no 24 hour videos of the innocent ppl getting killed on tv.

well when you got a coed base in the middle of a desert and the people cant exactly go outside the base because they will get killed, the men and women mingle. they get bored and they even hook up. many are single and many are married. they send them condoms because they know these people have sex. i have heard plenty of stories since i was a kid about what goes on in these bases in the middle east. the military doesnt want people getting sent back home before their tour is up due to them getting knocked up. it happens.

sure its uncalled for and yeah there is a lots of b.s. in war. not just this war. every war. there always will be. war will never be perfect by any means. but i dont look at it as an insight to the mentality of a few of the soldiers. its an insight to the mentalitly of an ass no matter what country that ass may be from. you dont have to enter a war zone to find people like that. i have no doubt in my mind there are people like that in every country. that is why i see no point in this thread other than trying to say "look at the big bad evil u.s. troops and how bad they are". i never see anyone post a thread about a report on how iraqis kill other iraqis or the truely evil things they have done to their own people.
