this should be sounding bells everywhere....this guy is so fucking close to the record....

after reading the article, i realized that the maris' too think that the steroid era kinda tainted the record book, and they too dont consider bonds and mcgwire as two most home run hitters.... definetly after ryan howard does this, he will be the record holder and we'll forget about sosa, bonds and big mac....

just thought i should share it with you guys.... quite a bit of records have been broken, but have gone with very little fanfare...everyone seems to riding bonds' dick to hit 20 more homers....

schilling got 3,000 K's and no one talked about it..... that's horrible..

And as for Schilling... 3,000 is great, but not amazing. 14 others have done it. No one who doesn't have an asterisk by his name has hit 62 home runs in one season.

well, to me, 3,000 is like hitting 500 HRs...mathematically, 3000 is 300Ks a season for 10 seasons....realistically, it's 15 seasons of 200Ks.... but most of these guys are in their 17 or 18 years, so its slightly less than 200....but that is alot of work...to me...striking out a batter is harder than hitting a homerun...mentally atleast...

3000 K's is a great accomplishment, but nobody will ever confuse Schilling with Roger/Randy/Pedro when it comes to striking out people

schilling was never a strikeout pitcher, was he?? he was more of an ERA pitcher....he didnt throw hard, he just knew how to get guys out...

anyway, the thought of ryan howard and steroids has finally crossed my mind...i still dont think he did...but there's a 1% doubt that he might....2 HRs today.... he's awfully close, and he's really been on a tear this past 2 weeks.... maybe it's a hot streak at just the right time....

i know his career ERA is astoundingly low.... and his K's arent bad, but he's no clemens or johnson
