The Official "Watch this good documentary" thread

#1
Google Video seems to have quite a few full-length documentaries, I've been watching quite a few of them:

Myths about the developing world, a talk by Hans Rosling. Very interesting graphical depictions of how the developing world has changed and is changing.

Oscar-winning documentary The Fog of War, former US secretary of defence Robert McNamara talks about Vietnam, John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson.

Please share some of your own, whether they're available online or not.

The Great Global Warming Swindle
a good one i saw a few weeks ago that is a counter to al gores power point film. it actually tells you things that gore leaves out of his film and points out his half truths

Journeys with George
http://imdb.com/title/tt0312848/
this was done by Alexandra Pelosi, Speaker Pelosi's daughter. it is actually not bad. she followed President Bush around on the campaign up to the 2000 election. you see some behind the scenes look and you actually see a different side of the president that you dont see on the news. even if you hate the president or dont agree with him its still a good documentary that shows a side you never see before.

Celsius 41.11: The Temperature at Which the Brain... Begins to Die
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0424885/
a pretty decent job at pointing out moores b.s. from his hit job movie. plus it goes into a little about radical islam and some other things.

Obsession: Radical Islams War Against the West
http://www.obsessionthemovie.com/
i thought this did a good job at pointing out decades of history of radical islam

I'd recommend any of the Hard Cash Productions documentaries if you ever get a chance to see them (they're usually screened randomly on TV but are worth keeping your eyes open for.)

Here are the ones I could find through Google Video...

North Korea: Children of the Secret State which I actually watched after someone posted it up in this forum.

Charles: The Meddling Prince which doubts the future King of England.

Undercover Mosque: controversial documentary exploring mosques.

Burma's secret war: looks at actions of the totalitarian military Burmese Government.

If anyone can find some North Korea documentaries I haven't yet seen, or any more from www.hardcashproductions.com I'd be a very happy man.
