The Elimination of Race

#1
If you were able to start the human race again, from the beginning, but eliminate race, would you?

Would you make it so that, regardless of where mankind spread to and no matter the conditions, everyone shared the same skin colour and racial attributes.

Would it make a difference? Would there still be discrmination, only this time based on the colour of our eyes rather than the colour of our skin?

Nah I wouldn't, if people couldn't hate on your skin color they would find something else to hate on so I think that it would ultimately be pointless. Besides, a world where all girls were the same race is a world I wouldn't wanna live in (no joke).

I would not. I pride myself in having a different cultural background.
Just because we'd all have the same skin colour and similar physical features wouldn't mean everyone would share the same culture.

On the question, yes, i probably would. Would it make a difference? Don't know. Like some of you said, humans would find something else to bicker about probably :)

Although Illuminatille didn't specify, I'm pretty sure that he meant people would have the same cultural background/heritage/ethnicity as well. We'll see what he says.

Nope, diversity is beautiful.

Diversity in human appearance is one of the most amazing things I can think of.

And although discrimination and racism can be caused by this... it would happen even no matter what.

Ever read about that teacher that did the expirement with people with blue colored eyes and brown colored eyes, look how quickly those little children learned to hate each other. It was horrible, so with skin color gone, discrimination would not be unfortunately.

Paying lip service to the concept of "diversity" (see George W. Bush) is becoming rhetorically fashionable which humours me since in reality, diversity as an abstraction has no meaning.
