and plus HOW THE FUCK ARE WE TAKING AWAY ARE FREEDOMS FROM THE PATRIOT ACT? Did any people not in congress vote on that bill? we didnt pass that shit bush did
The American public doesnt have any thing to do with that act, when we have no say in it.

Plus our government is currupt and is just one big business, everyone does favors for each other, its never gonna be the way we want it to be, and it will NEVER please all of its citizen's.

You typing this post will change no ones opinion that matters, you're talking to the wrong people if you want this country to change then get out and do something, donate ur time, get involved, get behind representatives that you agree with, and let your voice really be heard, dont just post your opinion on here and no go do n e thing about it.

man theres just so much wrong with ur post IMO

how the fuck do u know its not a likely threat (terrorism). I know there is a great deal of controversy if the gov. is just playin with our minds by raising and lowering the terrorist alert system. But how do u know its not a threat? what info do u have that proves that? I personally hate bush and agree with very little he does, but i personally dont feel safe after seeing the WTC crumble to the ground.

People are taking actions that they believe will lower the risk of a terrorist attack and some people are willing to sacrafice a couple of things in order to breath another day. If they feel safer by no doing certain things let them. How does it directly effect you?

and for that quote by whomever does not apply to terrorist whose main goal is to eliminate us.
I'm willing to sacrafice some of my freedoms to breath another breath, and if ever comes to that I am sure that i am FREE to do what i please. Just because not everyone has the same definition of "Freedom" as you doesnt mean that they are wrong. Thats what this country is about, having freedom to do what YOU want, whether that is to curl up in a little ball and be scared or walk around like like nothing happened.

No offense, but we already know the Patriot Act basically shatters our rights........Bush is tryin to have a dictatorship goin on......Who knows, in this next term he might even change another law so he can "Run" for president again........and again and again........Alls I know is I voted for Kerry, and he still wasn't a strong enough candidate against George W......Hell, for all we know, Kerry could've been a puppet in the whole thing......Fuck it, I'ma live my life.

FREEDOM is your "god given" right's as a human being!!

and if your willing to be a little girl and give it up so the big bad goverment will let you swing on there nut's!

be a man and know what your talking about!

"They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security"--Benjamin Franklin

"None are so hopelessly enslaved as those who falsely believe they are free"--Goethe

"Most people would die sooner than think; in fact, they do."--Bertrand Russell

... is to get so caught up in this media-generated hysteria about terrrorism that you sacrifice your freedom for safety against a highly unlikely threat. The 1st amendment has been altered to suit post 9/11 hysteria. Americans say that their freedom is threatened by terrorists, but it's Americans themselves taking away their own freedoms through the PATRIOT act and Guantanamo Bay. It was either Thomas Jefferson or Ben Franklin who said "he who is willing to sacrifice some of his freedom in order to gain security deserves neither freedom nor security". Stop and think about that

edit: shit this is suppposed to be in thugs mansion
I'm sure if you were to have talked to NYorkers on Sept10th and tell them terroists were going to fly 2 planes into the worldtrade centers, not only would they have said it was unlikley, but they would have laughed.

Also to say shit like getting caught up in this media hysteria is wrong, don't listen to this shit blah blah, is as much as propagander as some of the dribble bush speaks about. But keep thinking like that,, u know the terroists love to give you politicaly correct people hugs, so they can go about their business of blowing things up.

Too think that there isnt a threat to your country is the stupidest thing i have ever heared?

You are single handedly pissing off the whole middle east, its unlikely that something like 9/11 will happen again - simply because it was so original and unexpected! but there is a lot of hate for america in the middle east and many people are out to kill much more people than 3,000... in the scheem of things this aint very much - look at the death toll in Iraq, they are aiming for war not pot shots!

But i do agree that Bush is using this to his own advantage - but bear in mind that is what politics is all about! he is hightening the threat to great fear and obedience for is scandles forign policy (which only u are following, thank fuck Europe is telling you to fuck off if u think were supporting any of your wars!) and i agree his reasons for going to war arnt as transparent as he makes out (in fact the reasons he tells the world and the real reasons are prob totally different and prob follow a capitalist ideology and not a democratic ideology!), but if u think this alone means there is no threat, u are only looking at one side of the same coin!

ShArpEnUrSwOrD, you need to shut the fuck up!

You dismissed aban who actually made valid points & that is just pathetic.

Also, the shit you're saying about willing to sacrafice some freedoms proves that not only were you ignorant to aban's post but you were dumb as fuck as you just made a comment that aban had addressed.

when i said giving up a freedom this is what i thought of as being an example, like say that there was a threat of any kind on a plane that i was suppose to get on. The airlines made an announcement that there was a threat on my flight... so they say fly at your own risk.

So i would probably say no, i dont want to get on this flight because of threats, and i feel i might endanger my life.

So therefore my freedom to travel where i want when i want, would be given up by me. I'm not saying take away my 1st amendment, or anything remotly close to that.

I am just saying in "special cases" i might give up my freedoms to live another day

dmx agrees with aban. .. and if aban watches the news aban will notice that yes indeed there are pig farming rednecks awaiting a terrorist attack.

good thread, i agree with you.

if you think about all the bomb shelters that were constructed in the cold war...up to 50 years ago...not ONE of them has EVER been used to this date...even with all these so called "terrorists" all over the place....that alone should make people stop and think.
