Is anyone else here familiar with this site? Basically, I'm not sure, but I think every once in a while a lot of freethinkers get together and have 20-minute lectures about various topics ranging from anything to you name it while being videotaped, and then they post the videos up on the site. I have watched quite a few over the past few days.
There was one called something along the lines of "Why are we happy? Why aren't we happy?" It's a lecture about the two different types of happiness, natural happiness and synthetic happiness, the differences between them, and it really had a lot of great ideas. It's not like any of these talks are mind bending, in many cases they will probably be very similar to thoughts you have all had, but a lot of the people who have done these lectures have presented things in perspectives i hadn't really considered yet.
Anyway, if you like to listen to old geezers talk about statistics, show you optical illusions, and that kind of stuff, you should check it out lol. I actually have it bookmarked on the toolbar.
