Not worth it unless your a doctor or in a filed that requires you to have a computer with you at all times. Why are you interested in a tablet pc?
Maybe he saw that ad with the dude on the plane, with the hybrid. He flips the screen around from a laptop to a tablet. Looks kinda cool.

Still, not really worth it IMO.

Well, besides the fact that I need a new computer, period, I'm going to be in college at this time next year, and something like this could be helpful to me, when it comes to taking notes in class, etc.

My mate bought one when he was in the States to use for University and he absolutely loves it, i'll try and grab the model number for you but he reckons it's a great alternative to a laptop.

I remember back in the days when we have a pen and paper to take notes. Damn I am getting old. I'd rather tape lectures though, much more of an advantage there. I still don't see the benefits outweighting the cost of a tablet pc, but whatever make you happy man, go for it. :thumb:

The Idea of a table PC is to be feather light. With that comes a few consequences. To make a tablet light 3 pounds and under a lot of sacrifices have to be made. for example you can buy a tablet PC that has everything a notbook does but that is stupid because it defeats the pupouse of portability. Its not fun taking notes on a 6 pound monster that has all of the bells and wistle why not just buy a laptop thier chaeaper. If your looking for light weight and potability but you want your tablet to do every thing a notebook can and a desktop look somwhere else.

^OK, let's forget about tablets for a second. What laptop do you recommend I buy, price range $1000 to $1300? I'm looking for something light, but that's good, you know?

for all of those features and a 15 inch screen what else do you want?

It has every thing and more than what you would expect for under a 1000.

you can get a lighter notebook but your screen will be small and will not have even half of the features as this one. You simply cant beat it for the price.

For a little bit more you can get an Acer TM4402WLMi Turion 64 15.4" Wide XGA ATI Mobility RADEON X700 NoteBook

This one is heavier, has less battery life, not as many features as the HP, but has better graphics chip.
