Owens breaks finger, out two to four weeks
NFL.com wire reports

IRVING, Texas (Sept. 17, 2006) -- Terrell Owens will miss from two to four weeks with a broken finger sustained as the Dallas Cowboys beat Washington 27-10.

The controversial wide receiver broke his right ring finger and will undergo surgery Sept. 18. The Cowboys have a bye next week.

Owens, who missed much of training camp and the preseason with a hamstring injury after signing a three-year deal, struggled against the Redskins. Owens flubbed a pass in the end zone on the opening drive and by game's end, he was in the locker room getting his hand X-rayed, his stats sealed at three catches for 19 yards.

The X-rays revealed the break.

Last week, in a loss at Jacksonville, Owens played much better with six catches for 80 yards and a touchdown.

^^^i agree, Brunell is good, not great but good. but the Skins have Jason Campbell waiting in the wings, i think that unless Brunell turns it around by week 5 they should pull him and put Campbell in. although that team is doomed anyway, since they have an owner who is more interested in having the most (or one of the most) valuable franchises in sports than he is in winning games. someone should tell Snyder that you can't just buy championship teams. another case of having more money than brains. but hey, he owns a football team, an amusement park, and now a big time actor (Tom Cruise), i'm sure his ego makes him believe that money=championship

They need to pull him now, and put Campbell in. It's not the coaching staff, it's not the other 10 players on the field, it's Brunell, he can't get the ball to any of the recievers, he was strug-a-ling last night, big time. We can't afford a 0-3 hole already, if we lose to the Texans next week, oh how my head is spinning.

he was struggling in last night's game, but he didn't look too bad in the game against Minnesota. Dallas has a good defense, which could be the reason why he struggled so much. the decision to not play Portis didn't help either, lol he didn't even know he wasn't going to be playing until some reporter asked him what he thought about it on Friday. you'd have thought Gibbs would have told him before he told the media. i think if he was ready and willing to play he should have played, i think it would have made a difference. when they showed him on the sidelines during the game it looked like he was using every ounce of strength to stop himself from getting his pads on and going in lol.

I say give Brunell another shot. after all, look at Brett Favre. he looked absolutely terrible in the first game, but even though they lost, yesterday he looked pretty damn good. so give him another couple of games and see how he does. but hey, at least your Skins aren't the worst team in the league, no team is worse than the God awful excuse of a team that Oakland is fielding nowadays
