PITTSBURGH - Running back Verron Haynes re-signed with the
Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, agreeing to a two-year contract.
Haynes, a five-year veteran, ranked third on the Steelers last season with a career-best 274 yards and three rushing touchdowns on 74 carries.
A fifth-round draft pick in 2002, Haynes was used primarily as a third-down back for the Steelers. He finished with 11 receptions for 113 yards.
