What would you best sporting memories be? mine are:

Liverpool Champions League triumph in 2005. One of the greatest games ever. Liverpool came back from the dead:

Steven Gerrards last minute equaliser in Liverpool's 2006 FA Cup final. One of the best goals i have ever seen. To score a goal like that in the last minute of a final when your legs are cramping up and your team is down a goal is something amazing. Not many players will do that:

Ireland's 1-0 win over Holland in 2001 to qualify for the WC play-offs and then the 2002 World Cup

those are about the highs from my teams in the decade. my other teams, the redskins and knicks, suck, as do the white sox most of the time. not very (good) memories provided by them.

* the warriors upset the mavericks in the first round of the playoffs.
* also, baron davis posterizing AK47 in the second round
* dwyane wade's triple double against kentucky in 03
* mayweather destroying ricky hatton
* USA vs. spain in the basketball gold medal game
* jodie meeks drops 54 on tennessee
* UVA upsets FSU - memorable only because i was in attendance and one of my buddies from high school caught the interception that ended the game.
* drew brees vs. the patriots
