#1
i use Windows media player to store all my songs and after a day or two...i'll try to play a song but then it'll tell me this.....................

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. If the file is on another computer, verify that you are connected to the network. If you typed a path, verify that it is correct. If the problem persists, the server might not be available."

and i'm one hundred percent sure that everytime the song finished downloading i made sure that i added it to the right playlist...then i made sure that i saved the playlist....what more do i need to do...did i not do something that would cause my songs to be deleted...SOMEBODY PLEASE HEP ME!

man, windows media player, when you remove the files, its suppose to ask you,do you also want to remove them from the computer, you probably said yes and clicked the checkmark that will always do it.so when you remove a song from the playlist, its deleting it from your computer.

go to tools->options, then go to the MEDIA LIBRARY tab, then uncheck "delete item from your computer when deleted frommedia library"

that should do the trick

ok do this. all your songs, right click them, then go to properties. choose the READ ONLY check box. this way, they cant be deleted no matter what, unless you take off the read only thing.as far as im concerned thats the only option that i know of for now

The only thing I can think of would be that WMP sometimes renames and moves files, but if it was doing that then it would know where it put them and would still be able to play them.

Do what bigmack said, see if that helps.
