Iran will not back down from these petty UN sanctions. What can the United States do about this? The US can hope that the sanctions will cause internal turmoil, leading to a revolution of some sort, resulting in Iran stopping the advancement of its nuclear weapons. But, I don't think so. Bush can also, at the end of his term in 2008, order an air strike on Iran...but I don't think America's intelligence knows where to aim, and they will be reluctant and less confident after the WMD failure. So, what is in store for the next couple of years? Some scholars predict that Iran is going to develop an atomic bomb within a year.

On a side note, I was at a Robert Jervis lecture today and he called Bush a lame duck. It was rather amusing.

If its Barack Obama, which i'm hoping, the IQ will be very high :thumb:
Obama won't win the nomination. It's too early to tell, but it will either be Clinton (hopefully not) or Edwards (hopefully).

As far as Iran is concerned, there will be a lot more support for stopping them than there was for Iraq. India, for example, has already banned some exports to the country. Also, apparently there are already plans for an all out military strike againt them if they show signs that they are developing a weapon.

Hilary won't win, she can't win the primary. its too early and people are already scared that she'll get the nomination cuz there's no way in hell she'll win..

There's only 2 type of people when it comes to opinions of Hilary Clinton, you love her or you hate her. There's no inbetween

And the Democratic Party will realize before the primary in 2008 that she won't win.

she has a stronger base than you think, and i'm worried that edwards and obama will split too many of the others.

??? clinton's base > (edwards + obama) / 2 ???
