Striker Dario Silva has left Portsmouth after his contract was cancelled in a mutual agreement with the club.

The 33-year-old Uruguay international joined Pompey in August last year from Spanish side Sevilla but has failed to find his best form, scoring three goals in 15 appearances at Fratton Park.

Silva's plight was not helped when the club signed forwards Benjani Mwaruwari and Emanuel Olisadebe during the January transfer window, and the experienced front-man will now seek a fresh challenge.

The former Malaga striker's last appearance came in the FA Cup third round victory at Ipswich Town, but he has since been struggling with an ankle injury.

Harry Redknapp continues to chop and change his squad, even though the transfer deadline has now passed.

Didn't Portsmouth buy like a whole new team lol?

Surprised Silva went to Pompey at the start of the season, not surprised that he flopped though.

I would like to see Portsmouth staying in a Premier league. They'll try with a new players to fulfil the mission. Wish them all the luck. They'll need more than that and more than a good plays to survive. I doubt that other opponents will play so bad to give them a chance.
Noone will talk about Pompey if they didn't get nine new players. Some of them have mad potential. D'Alessandro for example. But, one thing is not clear to me. Why wait until january for such moves? Of course, Russian partner is there, but transfer's money isn't his money only. What Mandaric thought, that his team was capable to stay in a Premiership with less money? Now is almoust too late. No matter how much I want them to suceed I'll give them only 10% of chances.

He bought a shitty attacker from Partizan or Zvezda, i forgot his name... That tall blonde dude... you probably know him... He bought a lot of players that had no potential (except dallessandro as you said)... they have a shitty manager, a shitty owner and a shitty future, no offense, but as much as i like that team, they are shitty

You probably think on Zvonimir Vukic. He's not attacker. He came from Shaktar to Portsmouth. He played for Partizan in Serbia. Two years ago he was one of the top ten attacking midfielders in Europe but then he slowed down. He wasn't satisfied to play in Ukraina despite Shaktar big budget. Because of that he had problems wit coach. That's why he moved to England. Mandaric didn't but him, he just loaned him. Last summer he was with one foot in Stuttgart but that didn't work. In december Monaco wanted him on loan but he decided to move to his favoruite club Partizan Belgrade. Recently, he's having troubles with a injury but he'll be fit for the finish of our championship and for the World Cup. Hope to see him back in a good mood destroying opponents like he and compatriots did to Bosnians.
Don't spit over Pompey. You said that you like them but you are simply a liar. Is your only problem because of owner who is Serb? You see, don't limit yourself. I really like Ibrahimovic despite his arrogance and not scoring much. Still, he's one of the top strikers in the world. And, big plus, he is playing for Juve, my favourite club after Partizan.

euh no... I don't care where is he from... It's weird, because everytime I saw Vukic play, he was a CF... and i watch the EPL a lot...

Also, i thought that the owner was Slovenian, because they buy everything :)...

I like Pompey... I like every underdog team that's in any league in any sport... Why would I lie about something like that lol... I hate Juve, I hate Inter, I love Paris SG, i like Portsmouth... what's the problem :)

Btw, that game on the Marakana...it was a disgrace to Serbia... Serbians threw granades at us in a Stadium during a WC qualyfing match... one of my friends lost two fingers because he tryed to throw a small granade away... You launched rockets at us(good thing they were blanks, but it's still a blast in your ears)

And you didn't destroy us...the first game finished 0-0 and the second one was 1-0 for Serbia...how's that a destroy hehe..

Btw, if you were wondering, I am not racist, I love everything that comes from Ex-Yu.

Some Bosnians used to play for the PSG but in that time they went by the different name. Maybe you like them because of Halilhodic? It's true, he's one of the best coaches in France.
About the game on the Marakana... Your fans also threw chairs on our supporters. That's how all started. After the game you demolished every toilet on that side of stadium. UEFA punished both countries. So you see, guilty is on both sides. Although, sorry to hear that for your friend.
Personally, I think that all Serbians should play for Serbia. Koroman and Milosevic are born in Bosnia but they'll always play for their country. On the other side, you have defender Bajic, from Partizan, who plays for Bosnia. Before him it was Miskovic also from Partizan. Also, Partizan was the first team that played friendly game in Bosnia after the ending of war vs. Zeljeznicar. In our history we always had open heart. A lot of famous players of Partizan were Bosnians. And, one of the biggest coaches in our history was Abdulah Gegic. He creates famous Partizan's 'babies' that played in 1966 Champion's Cup final against Real Madrid. And for the end remember this name. Sulejmani. He's in our young team but he's from Bosnia. Two or three years from now, he'll be the best young player in the whole Europe. Wait, and you'll see.
Our team is much better than Bosnia in both games. Plus, once we played friedly against you and we won. But, to be honest, I was on your side when you played against Spain or Belgium (even before when you played friendly against France). Because of the referees your team didn't qualify. They helped Spain in almoust every game.
At the end I must say that war was very stupid thing orchestrated outside of SFRJ. I lost some relatives, in Bosnia and also in Croatia, in this war, so I know how that's hard. Peace be with you.

No, i like PSG since 1999.... Btw, I know Vaha personally :)

And it all started when you guys started chanting "Noz Zica Srebrenica"(For those who know not, it means "Knife, rope, Srebrenica" Srebrenica was the town in which the serbian commandos killed about 7 000 man and young boys in a few days just because they were bosnians)
I am not saying that we did no troubles, but you guys were horrible that night!

The first game in Sarajevo, I watched it, and we both had equal chances...it was really a tie....

The second game, you did dominate, but our players were scared to play the wings because your fans always threw stuff at us lol!!

And Milosevic is a Bosnian Serb... or a Bosnian Orthodox, depends how you feel (i have friends who call themselves Bosnian Orthodoxes because no one in their family was serbian so it goes both ways...) I don't mind players like Milosevic playing for your country, he's ok in the head... I hate players like Ognjen Koroman who are born in Bosnia (or parents are from there) and get cards during games against bosnia because they yell racist remarks towards Bosnians.

And we got out of thread here :)

yes, peace be with you too son

In the first game your fans chanting slogans about killing and slaughtering Serbs. There are many dumb and uncivilized 'fans' on both sides. All the sufferings and hate during the war don't need extension. Some say that Balkan is cursed but I say it's poisoned.
I watched the game in Belgrade. It wasn't that bad. Maybe our reputation was ahead of us. And one of your players, I can't remember which, during whole game offended Koroman.
Being Serb doesn't mean that you are automatically an Orthodox. I'm a Serb but I'm not an Orthodox.
