say goodbye, Tice, Sherman, Vermeil, Haslett, Capers, and Martz

or atleast momentarilly (cept Vermeil hes gone for good)

Mike Tise, Mike Sherman, Jim Haslett, Dom Capers, and Mike Martz wer all jus recently fired, and Dick Vermeil jus announced his retirement, but i don think these will be the only coaching changes in the NFL this year.

Its gunna be interesting to see who ends up where, and wuts gunna happen for these men next year. im not sure if Tise or Capers will be able to find another starting spot, even tho i believe they both deserve one.

Wutta ya'll think about these changes, and who do u think will be next on the chopping block?

Norv Turner just got the ax from Oakland, and I have to believe Herm Edwards is next, possibly Brian Billick, too. I don't think Jeff Fisher is on the block, but maybe he should be.

As far as the coaches cut, I have to say about Sherman, it's about time. I can't tell you how sick of his coaching style I was, after all the losses, all the 4th & 26's, all the challenge flags never thrown, and all the playoff chokes (on both sides of the ball), to hear Sherman NEVER take a stance at all just made me ill. He's a nice human being, but to hear him say, "Well, we played pretty well, I'm impressed by our heart, I think we did ok today..." over and over, you kind of want a coach to light a fire under his players once in a while. Sherman NEVER ONCE did that.

Yeah, just heard about Turner a few minutes ago myself. That was to be expected. The Raiders have under-achieved for the past few years. I like Fisher, but I think he should go.

Tice was a no brainer of course :)

i don get y people say tice was a no brainer

his first season wasnt great, but the second season he brought a previously struggling team, a game away from the playoffs, then the next year to the playoffs, and to the divisional championship game, then this year, through all the contraversy, led his struggling team to a 6 game winning streak, and one game away from the playoffs. I don see nethin wrong with ne of that.

ther r the off field problems, but i don believe that a coach should be fired for that, if ther team is able to produce on the field, who cares wut happens off the field

herm edwards isnt a bad coach just had a bad season with injury and etc.

jeff fisher should not be on the block, his team is too fucking young and salary cap ate them up bad for the past 2 seasons. look before these 2 seasons how good of a team he had coached going to the super bowl in 99, 13-3 best record in 00,and play off appearances every year after except for 1 year. as well as having co-MVP steve mcnair who for a while was very underrated. if salary cap and age gets set theyll be jsut as good again.

take it from me, Herm is the dumbest coach in the NFL. I dont want to get into this beacuse its a very emotional subject for Jets fans and might drive me to murder someday

he was succesful last year so why do you get pissed at him for one season? come on there QB was out for season and back up was injured for awhile. team was in bad shape so why blame the coach.sad thing is the jets being worse than texans and 49ers IMO lost there chance at getting first draft pick 2 or 3 weeks ago.

haha because of Herm's genius clock management, the Jets were 10-6 last year when they should've been 12-4. That Jets team last year was better than any Jets team I've ever seen and they STILL coulnd't even get to the Superbowl

Herm will never win a Super Bowl nor take a team there. He's got a lot of heart but where the hell is his head. A small example, he was a long time DB player/coach, the defensive backfield has progressively gotten worse under his helm.

Law had 10 INTs this year, probably his best season, but he's gone next year

Abraham's gone too, he was the first Jet to clean out his locker after the game, no way he comes back :(
